Cluster Stitch into One Stitch
In this tutorial you'll learn how to crochet a cluster stitch into one stitch.
A cluster stitch is made of 3 double crochets (dc) (UK treble crochets) that are all worked into one stitch and joined together at the top.

That means: Yarn over once, insert your hook, and pull up a loop. Then yarn over again and pull through the first two loops. You now have 2 loops on your hook.

Now repeat the whole thing (yarn over, insert your hook, pull up a loop, yarn over again, and pull through the first two loops) 2 more times, always inserting into the same stitch.

You now have 4 loops on your hook. To finish, yarn over again and pull through all 4 loops. That's your cluster stitch.

A cluster stitch can also be made with only 2 double crochets worked together at the top.
In that case, crochet exactly as described above until you have 3 loops on your hook, then pull the working yarn through those 3 loops.
