Cluster stitch into multiple stitches
The difference with a cluster stitch worked into multiple stitches is that each double crochet (UK treble) is worked into its own stitch.

In other words: yarn over, insert the hook, and pull up a loop. Then yarn over again and pull the yarn through the first two loops. You now have 2 loops on the hook.

Now repeat the whole process (= yarn over, insert the hook, pull up a loop, yarn over again, and pull through the first two loops) 2 more times, always inserting into the next stitch. You now have 4 loops on the hook.

Now just yarn over and pull through all 4 loops. Your cluster stitch is finished!

Note: This cluster stitch can also be made with 5 or 7 standard double crochets, each worked into its own stitch.
