Half Double Crochet

The half double crochet (UK: half treble crochet) is one of the crochet basics and is used in many crochet projects. In this tutorial, we’ll show you how easy it is to crochet a half double crochet.

Before you insert your hook into the next stitch, yarn over once so that you already have 2 loops on your hook.

Then insert your hook into the stitch, yarn over, and pull the yarn through the stitch.

You now have 3 loops on your hook. Yarn over again and pull through all 3 loops.

That’s it. Your first half double crochet is finished! From here on, you just repeat the same steps.
