Crossed Double Crochet
Here is a guide on how to crochet a crossed double crochet quickly and easily. A crossed double crochet is made of 2 double crochets (UK treble crochets) that are crossed over each other—inserted from the front.

First, it is important to skip one stitch and work a double crochet into the next stitch.

Now go back to the skipped stitch. Yarn over once.

Insert your hook into the skipped stitch from the front, going behind the double crochet you already made, and then work a double crochet.

In the picture, you can see what the finished crossed double crochets look like.

You can also crochet crossed stitches in the same way using treble crochets (UK double treble crochets). To do this, simply work 2 treble crochets instead of 2 double crochets.
