Half double crochet two together
Here we explain how you can easily crochet two half double crochet stitches together (hdc2tog) to make a decrease. In UK terms, this is known as half treble crochet two together (htr2tog).
To start, yarn over once before inserting your hook into the stitch.

Next, insert your hook into the stitch and pull the yarn through.

You now have 3 loops on your crochet hook. In the next step, yarn over again, insert your hook into the next stitch, and pull the yarn through.

Now you have 5 loops on your crochet hook.

In the last step, simply pull the working yarn through all 5 loops on the hook — done!
