Terms of Participation: Crazypatterns Award for the Sock World Record

Overview

1. Campaign period & draws

  • Campaign period: 1 February 2026 to 15 March 2027 (23:59 CET).
  • Monthly draw: Takes place in the following month among the entries from the previous month.
  • Grand finale: The main winners will be drawn on 31 March 2027 from all entries submitted during the entire campaign period.

2. Eligibility requirements

  • A verified Crazypatterns user account.
  • Upload a photo via the award form with the required tag Sockenweltrekord.
  • Meet the requirements: minimum size 40, leg length at least 10 cm.
  • Quality check: The photo must have adequate image quality (sharpness, brightness).
  • No purchase necessary: Buying something on Crazypatterns does not increase your chances of winning.
  • Participation is only possible in the European Economic Area (EEA, excluding Italy), the United Kingdom, Switzerland, the USA, Canada, and Australia. For Canada: a skill-testing question is required.

3. Prizes & budget

Prizes worth a total of €2,027 will be raffled off to 111 winners.
The prizes are provided as Crazypatterns shopping credit. The credit is added to your user account, is non-transferable, and cannot be paid out in cash; validity according to the Terms and Conditions (credit account).

4. Selection process & notification

  • Random draw: The winners are selected at random from all valid (quality-checked) entries.
  • Craftsmanship ("skill") does not affect your chance of winning in the random draw, as long as the basic requirements are met.
  • Max. 1 prize per person per month; you may win again in subsequent months.
  • Winners will be notified by email and marked in the gallery (with their username).

5. Reasons for exclusion & misuse

Crazypatterns may delete images or exclude participants in the following cases:

  • Violation of the photo requirements (e.g., blurry, too dark, or unrecognizable images).
  • Use of third-party images (copyright infringement) or attempted fraud.
  • Content that violates common standards of decency or the rights of third parties.

6. Usage rights & disclaimer

  • By uploading, you grant Crazypatterns a non-exclusive right to make the image publicly available as part of the campaign (e.g., gallery, social media, winner announcement).
  • You confirm that you created the image yourself and that you do not violate any third-party rights.
  • Independence: Crazypatterns is not the organizer of the world record attempt. The award is a separate campaign.

7. Changes/termination

We may adjust these terms of participation if needed or end the campaign early, as long as there are objective reasons for doing so. Any prize claims that have already arisen remain unaffected.

8. Data protection & legal information

Legal recourse is excluded. Latvian law applies (mandatory consumer protection provisions of your country of residence remain unaffected). Further information:
