A shawl is always fun, and you can get quite a lot of it done in a weekend.
This triangular shawl is very relaxing to knit; basically, you just need to know knit and purl stitches, with a few lace rows scattered in between.
1 skein of sock yarn is enough, and it is knitted on a 4 mm circular knitting needle.

Of course, you can also use other colors, but as you can see, mine is pink. A knitted scarf in garter stitch that would actually be very simple—if it weren’t for this colorwork pattern that forms an elongated V. In addition, the entire scarf is shaped like a V, which also makes for an interesting knitting project.
You’ll need 4-ply sock yarn in two matching colors, 380–400 m of color A and 230–250 m of color B. It is knitted on 3 mm needles, and a stitch marker is also recommended.

On Sunday, I’ll finally get to meet up again with a former neighbor who moved away last fall. We used to get together for a cup of coffee every now and then, but since she moved away, we’ve only seen each other once.

A chic accessory for cool summer nights is this cotton scarf, which is knitted lengthwise but, with its crocheted ends and fringes, is sure to be an eye-catcher at any party.
You’ll need 3 balls of cotton yarn for it (LL 69m/50g), a 5mm circular knitting needle, and a matching crochet hook. The length of the scarf can be adjusted easily, though this will change the amount of yarn required.

Could it perhaps be a brioche pattern? There is a variation where you make yarn overs in one row and then knit them together with the corresponding stitch in the next row, so you basically treat the yarn over + stitch as one stitch. That may be why there’s a note saying that these stitches are no longer counted later on.

My summer scarf is blue too, and it is both knitted and crocheted. In thick cotton yarn (69 m per 50 g), it is finished quickly. It is first knitted lengthwise; a long circular knitting needle is recommended for this. Then the ends are crocheted on. You can also leave off the ends if crocheting isn't really your thing.

This stole is well suited for beginners, featuring a simple knit-and-purl pattern that is written out in full and shown in a knitting chart. It’s really not rocket science, and it’s also quick to finish in a thicker yarn.
My original shawl is made with Lana Grossa Primavera (pure cotton with a yardage of 170 m per 100 g, 3 balls of it), knitted on 5.5 mm needles, but of course you can use other yarns as well.

When it was once very cold and I was dreaming of sandy beaches, I found the inspiration for this scarf. It is knitted from a merino/silk blend yarn with a yardage of 300 m per 100 g, needle size 3.5 mm.
Don’t let the cables put anyone off; they are slipped-stitch cables that can also be knitted very well without a cable needle and are very easy to do. I promise!

I have a small bookmark in a charming lace pattern to offer. It is knitted from cotton, you need about 20 m for it and about 1 hour of time. Of course, you can also use up other leftover yarn; it doesn’t have to be cotton.

Actually, I knit all year round—I never take a break. I’ve even knitted thick scarves in the summer; the heat doesn’t bother me at all. Well, not exactly—I’d rather be warm than cold—but it doesn’t affect my knitting.

This summer scarf is ideal for cotton; it’s very comfortable to wear even on cool evenings or at this time of year. It also knits up very quickly—after all, you don’t have to knit the holes as well :-)
The original is made from a cotton-viscose-silk blend, with a yardage of 84m per 50g, and knitted with 6mm needles. Yarn requirements for a 160 cm long scarf: 3 skeins.

I just went through the relevant sections of Austrian copyright law to be sure. Under Austrian law, the copyright holder generally has the option to prohibit the sale of finished products, but isn’t required to do so. It’s at their discretion.
I’ve never considered imposing such a ban on my patterns. On a large scale, they can’t be reproduced commercially—they simply take time to make—and if someone wants to sell one or two pieces, by all means, go ahead; I have no objection. I’ve also been asked explicitly for permission from time to time, and I’ve agreed every single time.
The patterns themselves may not be resold, but that goes without saying.

The "Nite Flite" stole is knitted lengthwise. It has a pretty lace edging at the bottom, a simple rib pattern toward the top, and can be worked to any width you like—a narrow scarf, a wider stole, or even a wrap if you keep knitting.
For mine, with a length of 150 cm and a width of 30 cm, I used 565 m of sock yarn, all on 4 mm needles.
