Crochet Abbreviation

Hi, can anyone tell me what GLM stands for?

I'd really love to help, but I have to admit, I'm stumped too. Would you mind telling us what you're crocheting, or in what context the abbreviation appears?

I just Googled it, but nothing came up (except for a laser machine :-D),
so I’m thinking there might be a typo in the pattern?

Maybe you could try writing it the way iglinz did?

GLM doesn’t mean anything to me either.
Maybe it was supposed to be HLM as an abbreviation for lifted chain stitch, perhaps???

Yeah, that could be it, because the H is right next to the G on the keyboard

April Fools??

I was thinking the same thing, because I don't recognize that abbreviation either.

If that was a joke, it was a good one :-)

If the G were an A, I’d have said it stands for an April chain stitch — *grin*...

Maybe you should contact the author of the pattern directly; that’s what I did, and I got a prompt reply.

Thanks for your help — I know now what it’s supposed to mean; I found someone who’s crocheting it right now.

So, what does it mean? Now I'm curious. By the way, I had a little trouble with WLM at first, too, but I figured it out pretty quickly.
