I hope that no one here on Crazypatterns ever throws away leftover yarn. We have so many wonderful leftover yarn patterns in the shop that there’s sure to be a use for every strand.
Tip: You can still use the very short pieces of yarn as stuffing for amigurumi / animals.

Vegetable Basket for a Play Store and Doll Kitchen
Every Child Needs This for Playtime



The vegetable basket consists of the following vegetables:

• Red cabbage
• Pointed cabbage
• Leek
• Napa cabbage

Using 30 g of cotton or sisal yarn and an empty jam jar, you can quickly and easily crochet a small lantern. It looks lovely in small groups on the table and is also an eye-catcher on its own, either in or on a tree. With very little effort, you can create a beautiful little decoration.

I have a small bookmark in a charming lace pattern to offer. It is knitted from cotton, you need about 20 m for it and about 1 hour of time. Of course, you can also use up other leftover yarn; it doesn’t have to be cotton.

If you’d like to try double knitting, you can give it a go with a small potholder. The technique is fun, and the great thing about it is that both sides look good. With two leftover cotton yarns (maximum 50 m per color), you’re all set.

Often, after finishing a piece, half a skein or a started ball of yarn is left over.

Leftover yarn, a size 2.5 crochet hook, and stuffing wool or a Kinder Surprise egg capsule, and you’re ready to get started.

Because I often crochet the tulip heads “in advance” as soon as I have a pretty color shade left over

For all cat fans and dog lovers. A cute way to use up leftover yarn. As a keychain or bag charm. 
10–20 g leftover wool/yarn, the matching crochet hook (2–3), a little stuffing, and, if desired, two small eyes if you don’t want to embroider them. Chain stitches, single crochet, increases and decreases. Then the charm is practically finished :-) Anyone who has crocheted now and then will enjoy making the cat and/or the dog.
