Nice weather: What do you do? (No advertising)

Dear users, dear authors,
when the weather is nice, what do you like to do most?

Going for a walk with my dog, enjoying the sun and the mild temperatures, listening to the birds, breathing in the fresh air....
And, of course, sitting on the balcony and knitting or crocheting. ;-)

Unfortunately, the weather here isn’t good at all. There’s a nasty cold wind, and it keeps drizzling. So unfortunately, the trip to Bremerhaven for my partner’s birthday had to be canceled.
But being postponed doesn’t mean it’s canceled.

This morning I went for my first bike ride of the year. We rode e-bikes for two hours in wonderful sunshine.

Otherwise, we go hiking or, of course, knit and crochet while lounging in a deck chair in the garden.

we had lunch on the rooftop terrace for the first time today. Unfortunately, we then had to go to a follow-up appointment with the eye doctor.
We drove there with the convertible top down, but then unfortunately missed out on 3 hours of the beautiful weather. At least we still had the drive back to enjoy the weather, and it’s supposed to get even warmer.

Nice weather????? It's raining here and it's totally awful. The only positive thing: there isn't as much pollen flying around. 
Yesterday the weather was nice, but somehow I couldn't get my butt off the sofa. I'm regretting that now.  But I was working today anyway.

Two days ago here in Norway, it was a bit warmer (though never above 12 degrees Celsius), with sunshine, so we sat outside on the patio for the first time, drinking coffee in short sleeves.
We really soaked up the sun’s rays and the warmth on our faces. It was wonderful.

Unfortunately, it’s supposed to get unpleasant again tomorrow. Nothing’s green yet. Everything’s still so gray.
I’m really envious of all of you in Germany right now.

I want sun, warmth, ice cream, and bike rides...

Hiking in the mountains—being outdoors—enjoying nature—knitting or crocheting by the lake...

The weather was gorgeous here in Chiemgau today.
The best part: here in the countryside, most of the smaller shops are closed on Wednesday afternoons—including my little yarn shop. I took advantage of the warm sunshine to go on a short hike with a friend in our local mountain area http://www.bergfex.de/sommer/bernau-am-chiemsee/webcams/c4602/

Work from morning till night. Hopefully the weather will still be nice this weekend, too.

Yesterday we went on a wonderful hike in the Black Forest—the sun was shining beautifully and it was already quite warm;
the air smelled like spring, but there were still some last patches of snow lying in the shade at the forest edges!
In the evening, I did a little knitting to relax,

For the last 3 days, I’ve been working in glorious sunshine until evening, when it got dark. Today I’m heading out at lunchtime—and, as if it couldn’t be otherwise—it’s cloudy.

But since the weather will hopefully be nice this weekend, I’d like to:
- sit in the sun and read
- sit in the sun and crochet
- go to the playground with the kids
- go for a long walk with my husband and the dog; maybe the kids will come too
- do some gardening
- strip the beds and let everything dry outside; it smells so lovely then!
- finally get the bikes out after winter and see whether our little place in the town two towns over already has ice cream again. It’s from Eisgreißler and unbelievably good!

I wonder whether all of that will fit into one weekend?

Writing patterns indoors :-)
I can’t work outside at all—way too much fuss, and I have to take pictures every few stitches… I couldn’t do that in the garden (plus, I’m jumping through the bushes screaming every 5 minutes because of black-and-yellow bugs).

But without my crochet stuff, of course, off to the garden! A big garden like this is nice, but it’s also a lot of work. And it’s definitely more fun when it’s sunny and warm ♥

Nice weather is great because the laundry dries faster, so we’re already working in the garden to kick off the vegetable season—the flower beds are almost all cleared of dead plant matter… all that’s left is to work in the compost.
And I also spent half an hour stomping around by the stream to fish out the branches and get the water flowing properly again… that was a very cold business.
To warm up, I then sat on the patio with coffee and my crochet stuff ;-)—that part was definitely the best.

At my place, you can always tell when the nice weather is starting: my daughters’ Vespa and “Gatschhupfer” (off-road moped) are parked outside, the rotary clothesline is in use, and Junior leaves his scooters and chalk lying around.

Hopefully the weather stays this way ;-)
