Simple, but very striking, is my Snow White shawl. It is knitted in two different patterns, in two colors or just one, and the size can be varied as desired.
You need a total of 420 m of sock yarn for it (for a wingspan of 150 cm—if you want it larger, then of course more), 350 m of that in the main color. Plus a 4 mm circular knitting needle.
The pattern is written out and shown in knitting charts.

That’s wonderful news—congratulations!

That was very brief and to the point earlier—I wanted to add that this isn’t just something that applies to your baby blanket, but to everything you come into contact with. For example, the clothes you’re wearing would be just as affected. During flu season, it’s recommended to wash your hands often because infection mainly spreads through objects you touch that sick people have touched before. It can also spread through droplets when someone coughs, for example, but if someone really gets you that way, then all you can do is hope for a strong immune system :-)
So washing it would be my first piece of advice.

In general, I wash everything before it’s used.

My knitted shawl is already called that: Primavera. In cotton, it's well suited for spring, very relaxing to knit, and you can get a lot done in one weekend. The pattern is easy to follow, so it doesn't matter at all if the TV program is exciting.
The shawl is rectangular and 30 cm wide (but can be varied easily) and can be knitted to any length you like.

This infinity scarf, knitted in a simple rib pattern, is also well suited for beginners. With the thick yarn (100 m per 100 g), that sense of achievement won’t be long in coming either. You’ll need an 8 mm circular needle and a stitch marker.

A festive lace shawl is sure to look lovely at a wedding.
This one is knitted from 4-ply sock yarn, can easily be adjusted in size, also works in just one color, and really makes an impression :-)
For a shawl with a wingspan of 150 cm, you need about 350 m in white and 70 m in red (or whichever colors you prefer); for larger shawls, you should of course plan for more. Plus a 4 mm circular knitting needle and possibly a stitch marker.

Just imagine this hat in different colors—black, gray, brown, dark blue, something along those lines—maybe with a little hipster beard to go with it—well, you know what I mean.
It’s knitted in two colors, using a simple pattern that’s perfect for getting started with this technique. The original is made from a wool-blend yarn with a yardage of 114 m per 50 g; for the large men’s size, you’ll need 2 skeins of color A and 1 skein of color B. However, the pattern is also available in smaller sizes that use less yarn.

This handbag with a goldfish pattern is brand new from me. It’s knitted in the round using cotton, and the handles are crocheted.

I think they’re swimming to Australia, but maybe I’m mistaken.
For this, you’ll need cotton with a yardage of 125 m per 50 g in two colors (preferably blue and yellow), one ball of each color. Plus a 3 mm circular knitting needle, a 3 mm crochet hook for the handles, and a snap fastener. Possibly also lining fabric, if you plan to line the bag.
Knowledge of two-color knitting is required.

My scarf "Poesia" is very easy and relaxing to knit. It’s especially well suited for sock yarn with long color gradients, but of course it can also be knitted with other yarns. It has tapered ends and is knitted diagonally. Once you get into the pattern, it practically works up by itself.
You’ll need one 100g skein of sock yarn, 2 knitting needles, and possibly a stitch marker.

“at each end” means at both ends, so decreases on both sides. In the next row, you decrease 2 stitches—one on each side—and then decrease 2 stitches again in every 3rd row. After 26 rows, there will likely be instructions on what to do next.

For beginners making hats, I’d like to recommend my Oidaa hat. It’s really not difficult and can be knitted with sock yarn or slightly thicker yarn, using either a set of double-pointed needles or a circular needle.

I have a new knitting pattern: a stole that is easy and relaxing to knit. You can use cotton, like in my original, or any other yarn you like. The pattern can be adapted very easily to suit any preference, long or short, wide or narrow, just as you like. No special skills are needed either, just get started and knit until you reach the desired length.

New from me in March is this rectangular wrap. I knitted the original in cotton with a yardage of 170 m per 100 g and used 3 skeins for it. But the pattern is also suitable for other yarns and can be knitted in any size you like—from a scarf to a wide stole.
The pattern is suitable for beginners; you only need to know knit and purl stitches, that’s all. A knitting chart is included, but it’s also written out row by row.

This triangular shawl is very relaxing to knit, and all you need is one skein of sock yarn. You’ll be using knit and purl stitches and a few simple lace rows.

How about a weekend trip to London? “Boho in Soho” is a great companion for that. It’s a knitted summer scarf made of cotton—not exactly easy, but not too difficult either. You’ll need to know how to do drop stitches, as well as increases and decreases.
What makes this scarf special is that it’s not only knitted but also crocheted. The long body is knitted, but the ends are crocheted.

My new knitted lace bookmark. You’ll need a small scrap of cotton yarn (20 m is enough) and two double-pointed needles. And a little experience with lace patterns.

For the more traditional mother, I have a potholder with hearts on offer. Not quite easy, as it is knitted using the double-face technique, but very effective. The front and back look the same.
For this you need leftover rather thin cotton yarn in two different colors, approx. 50 m of each color, 2.5 mm knitting needles, and a crochet hook for the edging and loop.
The pattern is shown in a knitting chart.

A festive stole for Mom is always a good idea. There’s still plenty of time to finish it before Mother’s Day.
This one is knitted from sock yarn. It’s knitted lengthwise, starting with a delicate lace border, and can then be worked to any width you like. When you run out of yarn, just stop.
You’ll need: 4-ply sock yarn (I used 565m for my shawl), a circular needle, and a darning needle.
The lace pattern is written out and shown in a knitting chart.

This loop is also a true frequent-knitter pattern, as it is knitted in the round as a long tube. Double the work, yay :-) The big advantage is that there is no right or wrong side - the loop looks the same all the way around.
For a loop like the one shown, with a circumference of 155 cm, you’ll need 840 m of four-ply sock yarn in two colors, a 4 mm circular needle, a stitch marker, and a darning needle.
The mesh pattern is easy to memorize and definitely TV-friendly. You can find the pattern here .

This brioche-stitch stole is well suited for prolific and fast knitters. It is very relaxing to knit and looks great in gradient yarn. The amount needed depends on how long you want the shawl to be.
For brioche beginners, the brioche stitch is shown in a photo tutorial. Once you have it in your head, the pattern almost knits itself.

I’m really frustrated right now. I wanted to knit a bag, and somehow I managed to mess it all up. It’s now sitting on top of my UFO pile. It’s about 30 cm high, and I’ve kind of lost track of what’s at the very bottom.

Inspired by the colors of the Caribbean (or at least how I imagine them), I created this knitted bag. Made with thick cotton yarn (69 m per 50 g), it knits up quickly and isn’t difficult at all.
You’ll need: 2 skeins of Color A and 1 skein of Color B, a 5mm circular needle, a stitch marker, and a darning needle.

I generally like batwing sleeves. I like them for light, summery blouses or shirts. However, I don’t find them very practical because I often dip them in the sauce while eating :-)

This knitted shawl in brioche stitch is also suitable for beginners. It is basically a large rectangle that you can knit for as long as you like, or until the yarn runs out. The only difficulty is the brioche stitches, but they are explained in a photo tutorial.
I knitted the original using a cotton-blend yarn (yardage 329 m per 100 g), using 622 m for a shawl length of 120 cm with 3.5 mm needles. Of course, you can also use other yarns.

Pump hose

For beginners who want to try a lace pattern, this knitted summer scarf is well suited. For my scarf with a length of 160 cm, I used 3 balls of a cotton/viscose/silk blend yarn with a yardage of 84 m per 50 g. Other yarns are of course suitable too, and the length can also be adjusted as desired; you can simply knit until the yarn runs out.
You'll also need 6 mm knitting needles.
