Does your mom get cold easily too? Then why not give her a heat pack! It gives off a pleasant warmth. A particularly beautiful cover for it is this
Heart in Popcorn Stitch.
The pillow measures about 20 cm x 20 cm. So you can also use it as a pot holder. Or simply as a decorative piece or a cozy pillow.
Either way, the heart says, “I love you!”

Spring-like shawl for Mom

--> Click here for the pattern

Moms are always happy about handmade gifts - that was already true back in kindergarten days and hasn’t changed to this day. So how about a crocheted shoulder shawl that can even be turned into an airy bolero with a few snap fasteners?

The pattern is great for beginners, and it includes both a crochet chart and a step-by-step explanation.

All you need is a 200 g yarn cake with a length of 1000 m and your 3.5 mm crochet hook, and you’re ready to get started.

This pretty heart is perfect for giving to Mom or Dad.
Also very nice as a decorative heart for festive days or even for a wedding.
You can design the heart completely individually. This heart is quick and easy to crochet. Depending on the yarn and crochet hook used, the heart will be between 9 cm and 11 cm in size. Of course, you can also crochet it even larger if you use thicker yarn. In my pattern, I have explained everything very precisely and step by step, and included lots of pictures too.

A small crochet school also makes it easier for beginners to follow along.

What you should know how to do
  • chain stitches
  • single crochet
  • slip stitch
  • increases and decreases
  • crochet in rows
  • simple sewing
Materials
  • Catania yarn 125 m/ 50 g
  • Debbie Bliss cashmerino 110 m/50 g
  • crochet hooks 2.5 and 3.5

Just in time for Mother’s Day, the Rosenkind lifts its little head toward the sun. Whether in classic red or softer colors, it’s always an eye-catcher and a great gift for yourself or for Mother’s Day! Or would you prefer a classic door wreath with roses....
Both make lovely, everlasting gifts for Mother’s Day and can be crocheted in your favorite colors.

The patterns are described in detail and richly illustrated.https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/items/14038/blumenkind-rosenrot?ref=Otterthaler_Haekelmaus

A festive stole for Mom is always a good idea. There’s still plenty of time to finish it before Mother’s Day.
This one is knitted from sock yarn. It’s knitted lengthwise, starting with a delicate lace border, and can then be worked to any width you like. When you run out of yarn, just stop.
You’ll need: 4-ply sock yarn (I used 565m for my shawl), a circular needle, and a darning needle.
The lace pattern is written out and shown in a knitting chart.

You can find the pattern here.

For the more traditional mother, I have a potholder with hearts on offer. Not quite easy, as it is knitted using the double-face technique, but very effective. The front and back look the same.
For this you need leftover rather thin cotton yarn in two different colors, approx. 50 m of each color, 2.5 mm knitting needles, and a crochet hook for the edging and loop.
The pattern is shown in a knitting chart.

A scented pillow like this is quick to make and makes a great
little “gift” for Mother’s Day!

It also looks lovely in a walk-in closet, on the sofa, or on a windowsill—and it fills the air with a pleasant scent.

The finished pillow measures approximately 24 x 23 cm .
A chart will guide you through the heart pattern .

My mom often had cold feet, so I always knitted her felt shoes. Of course, I made sure the soles were nicely rubberized so she wouldn’t slip. I made her this higher-cut style of felt shoes so that the inside of her ankles would stay nice and warm, too. That’s important because that’s where the blood vessels run that supply the foot with blood. If your inner ankles are warm, your feet will be warm, too.

My mom always loved them very much, would ask for a new color every now and then, and really enjoyed wearing them. She could even put her own insoles in them. The soft, thick felt molded perfectly to the shape of her feet (and her bunions). My mom passed away last summer. She no longer needs felt slippers. But I’m glad I was able to make them for her while she was still with us. Now my daughter-in-law wants some for her mom. There are just some things that are always good—and always will be.

Here you’ll find the pattern for the One-Step Felt Booties and all the other information.
I hope you enjoy knitting, felting, wearing, and giving them as gifts—Yours, “Ina strickt”

    Crochet a loop scarf

You can always use a loop scarf, no matter the season. And for Mother’s Day, it’s a wonderful way to combine something practical with a great handmade gift.

The crochet pattern is especially suitable for a so-called Bobbel, meaning gradient yarn. The model used a 3-ply yarn with a length of 750 m. Only so-called standard stitches are used, so the loop scarf can also be made by beginners without any problems.

By the way: It’s perfectly fine to treat yourself for Mother’s Day, too... maybe by simply making something for yourself for once.

You’ll find all further information about the material, the stitches, as well as the pattern here:Crochet a loop scarf

A heart is practically a classic for Mother’s Day, but it’s still always a lovely gift idea.

Here I have a pattern for a vintage heart for you. The wooden beads and wooden buttons give the heart a rustic charm.

Even beginners can make the heart without any trouble, because the ebook contains lots of photos and step-by-step instructions.

You can find all the information about the required materials, the yarn used, as well as the crochet pattern here: Crochet a heart with flowers

If you want to give your mom some homemade chocolates, I have the perfect packaging for them! This three-tiered chocolate box has plenty of space for chocolates as well as other small gifts like collectibles, jewelry, and similar items.
Of course, you can also use this box to give your dad a homemade gift. If he doesn’t like the red color, it can easily be replaced with another one.

The box is made of cardstock and measures approximately 19 x 12 x 22 cm. It’s easy to make, but because there are so many individual parts, you’ll need to work very carefully.

Using about 25g of cotton yarn with a length of 125m/50g in any color, this beautiful exfoliating glove can be crocheted in about 1.5 hours.

    Link to the pattern

It’s great for cleansing your face or removing dead skin cells to help you keep your summer tan a little longer.

Pair it with a nice shower gel or a homemade scrub, and you’ve got the perfect Mother’s Day gift!

As described, all you need is cotton yarn (such as Schachenmayr Catania), a size 3.0 crochet hook, scissors, and a yarn needle.

The washcloth is crocheted in rows without increases or decreases and consists of chain stitches, single crochet stitches, and double crochet stitches.

The pattern is explained in detail and includes numerous illustrations. Suitable for beginners.

With their wonderfully soft yarn made of 70% cashmere, 25% silk, and 5% extra-fine merino, they caress the skin and gently warm strained, overworked, or aching wrists. A true comfort you'll never want to take off.Materials per pair

    • Darning needle, ruler, scissors
The pattern is very well suited for knitting beginners who can already knit with a set of double-pointed needles or want to learn how. I explain and show everything
    in great detail.

The “Herzblatt” table runner is a wonderful gift for Mother’s Day or for other people who are close to your heart. But it’s also perfect as a decoration for a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner. It’s truly a labor of love.

This crochet pattern explains how to make the “Herzblatt” table runner with detailed instructions, plenty of pictures, and diagrams. Since only basic crochet skills are required (see below), the table runner is a great project for crochet beginners . Additional techniques (filet crochet, patent double crochet) are described in detail in the pattern.

    Required Skills

    • Crocheting in rows
    • Chain stitches and slip stitches
    • Single crochet and double crochet
    • Weave in ends
    Difficulty Level: Easy

People often give alcoholic drinks as Father’s Day gifts. With this original packaging, you’re also wishing him good luck. It can even be used as a decoration later on, like on New Year’s Eve.
The lucky pig is made entirely with single crochet stitches. You’ll need 2 skeins of cotton yarn (125 m / 50 g), some stuffing, and googly eyes to glue on. The pattern is available here.

Crochet pattern for the shawl "Sunset"

--> Click here for the pattern

Mothers are always happy to receive handmade gifts from their children, no matter their age. So how about a beautiful shawl, which can also be worn loosely tied around the hips in summer. It not only looks dreamily beautiful, but can also rival any sunset.

This version is relatively pointed and elongated, but of course you can also crochet it wider, which I explain in my pattern as well. In that case, it is better to use a gradient yarn cake with 1000 m of yardage. After all, everything is a matter of taste.

The pattern includes a crochet chart as well as written explanations, making it suitable for everyone.

    Difficulty level: Easy

    What you need:

    Approx. 160-200 g of any yarn cake – 4-ply – 800-1000 m yardage, recommended hook size 3.5 Size: 2.10 x 1.15 meters (160 g yarn cake)

To get the sunset effect, a suitable gradient yarn cake is recommended.

    What you need to know:

chain stitches, single crochet, half double crochet, double crochet, picot

Give love for Mother’s Day with this cute pendant in the shape of a winged heart. It can be made in just a few hours, making it ideal if you need a small gift quickly.

    For the heart you need:

    • leftover yarn in white and red (e.g., Catania by Schachenmayr)
    • beads (make sure the loops are wide enough for the yarn to pass through)
    • some stuffing
    • crochet hook size 3.0 mm
    • pins for attaching the wings to the heart
    • sewing needle for weaving in the ends and sewing on the wings
    • white sewing thread
    • scissors
The heart will be approx. 9 cm tall with the yarn mentioned above (without loop and bead pendant) and approx. 16 cm wide.
You don’t need any special crochet skills, as the heart is crocheted using only chain stitches, single crochet, and double crochet. However, basic knowledge should be present.
The pattern is 9 pages long and includes a detailed photo tutorial for every row as well as charts (crochet charts).

    Difficulty level: easy.

A Little Piece of Jewelry for Mother’s Day

With this little bracelet, you can quickly and easily crochet a lovely little piece of jewelry. Small wooden beads are incorporated into the bracelet, but these can easily be omitted. Simply adjust the
length or color to suit your preferences—this way, the bracelet can be turned into a necklace, and it
takes on a whole new look in a different color. A real eye-catcher, especially in
the summer—the crochet yarn makes it light and airy. It’s also perfect as a quick gift for the “best mom in the world” on Mother’s Day! For this little gift, you’ll need
    • Crochet yarn
    • Crochet hook size 2.5
    • Bracelet clasp
    • Scissors/sewing needle
    It is crocheted using
    • chain stitches
    • slip stitches
    • working off loops
