Dear users, dear authors,
what are you doing this weekend? Do you have anything fun planned?
Will you have time for crafts? What projects are you working on?

Hi Josefa,

Well, I’m right in the middle of preparing for the Easter market, but nothing seems to be getting finished :-)
At least I bought the contents for the jars today (and, with wise foresight, of course, I bought extra in case I suddenly go into sugar withdrawal :-) )
This weekend, I plan to finish a few things so it won’t be so stressful - although I’ll probably still be bursting with energy in the final week anyway :-)

I wish you all a creative weekend!!
Best, Sandra

Hi Josefa,

Well, I’m hoping I can finish the backpack for my grandson this weekend.... For some reason, I just can’t seem to finish it because I keep changing things around.
But I want it to be something special for his birthday, since the little guy will be moving from playgroup to kindergarten then.
My daughter already likes it, and she should know her child best, after all :-)

I wish everyone a wonderful weekend

Best wishes, Sabine

We’re currently busy in the garden and getting it ready :)
This year, in addition to fruit, we’re also planting our own vegetable garden and setting up a herb corner.

In the evenings, I’m crocheting until my hook is red-hot, and I’ve received some 100% viscose material to test, which I’m currently evaluating.

Tonight I’m going to the gym—I need to do that every once in a while :)
After that, I’ll get some things done on the computer, and then hopefully I’ll finally get back to crocheting. I haven’t held a hook in my hand for days now...

This weekend, I’ll just see what the weather brings. I hope I can enjoy a ray or two of sunshine outside. Otherwise, I’ll stay inside and turn my yarn cake into a new shawl :)

Hello Josefa

I finally finished my spring arrangement today and put it outside the front door.
The yarn I ordered also arrived today. If I have enough time, I’ll start the shawl I picked out here over the weekend. Have a nice weekend

We’re planning to go out for ice cream for the first time this year on Sunday. The ice cream shop here always opens in March, and that’s when you can treat yourself to some good ice cream. I hope it won’t be as cold as last year, when we had to wear thick jackets.

Other than that, I’ll be helping my older child study for a test and finish a presentation, and practicing basic multiplication with my younger one.

And then I’d like to start working on the blanket for my daughter. It’s going to be a year-long project, because she wants a really big, beautiful, colorful one—and, of course, with an elaborate design. Honestly, I’m really looking forward to it.

Wishing everyone a wonderful weekend, and hoping you’ll have a little time left for your needles and yarn.

Hi there! I have tomorrow off, and I hope the weather cooperates. I’d love to head to the Baltic or North Sea and go for a little walk to clear my head. If the weather doesn’t cooperate, I’ll probably crochet or sew.
And on Sunday, I have to work again. But honestly, I’d rather have Saturdays off anyway.

Unfortunately, I have to work tomorrow, but then I’ll have a few days off.

Hi, everyone!

Tomorrow I’ll be spackling holes in the walls of our future living room, finishing up painting the two bedrooms for our two middle kids, and in the evening, I’ll be doing a little crocheting while cuddling with Babylein.
On Sunday, I’ll start painting one of the bathrooms, then I plan to tape off the hallway and start painting it.
And in the evening, I’ll be back on the sofa, cuddling with Babylein and doing a little crocheting.

Best regards,

ZwergnaseBaer: It’s amazing how much you manage to get done—and create yourself—with three kids! Just incredible

Arni: Oh, thanks :)
(But there are actually 4 *laughs*)

I can’t really get that much done, though—I think it sounds like more than it really is...at least that’s the impression I get...

We’re going to the movies tomorrow night to see “Logan.” Before that, I’m meeting up with my mom for coffee.
And of course, I’ll be crocheting, too. My new shawl is coming along nicely. :-)

Sorry! I’m still practicing counting :-)))
Well, it sounds crazy to me. You were selling at Christmas markets while heavily pregnant right before Christmas. And now the renovations. I think that’s pretty impressive
We’re moving at the end of the year. Just thinking about it makes me feel sick. Well, there’s also the fact that I’m just as unskilled at DIY as my husband is! We’ll need contractors for everything!
I’m already starting to declutter so it won’t be so stressful.
It’s kind of silly, too. But that’s just how it is!

Being able to count stitches is more important ;)

After all, the Christmas market stall was paid for, so there wasn’t much left *grins* - and my mum and my eldest took care of most of it - I was only there selling for 2 of the 6 days, otherwise I just dropped by now and then to "restock" whatever was missing...

For my husband and me, crafting is relaxing - even though, of course, it’s physically exhausting, especially over the course of weeks.
And I’m definitely always at my best under time pressure... starting soooo far in advance, like you are now, just doesn’t work for me *giggles*
I do think it makes sense to start early and take your time; I’d love to be able to do that too...

Best regards

We helped my son move yesterday, so today is all about rest and relaxation.
That means a little housework, a little crocheting, and a stroll through the flea market this afternoon. Maybe I’ll find something I don’t really need but absolutely want to take home with me. The sun is already shining through the window… so it’s bound to be a great day.

Have a wonderful Sunday, everyone!

Hi everyone,

I was actually planning to crochet that gorgeous rose door wreath for myself this weekend... and study a bit for my dance training...
but: my best friend came to visit and left me with her nasty cold.

So instead of crocheting and studying, I’m now dealing with sneezing, watery eyes, coughing, and chills.
So now it’s back to the sofa with a cozy blanket and some hot elderberry grog.

Wishing everyone a cozy Sunday.
Best regards, Marlies

Marlies: Well then, get well soon.
Colds are nasty.

I’m going to have breakfast now and then hope my husband drives me to work

I’ve just started what’s probably my most unusual crochet project yet.
6 shoebox-sized altar cloths for the First Communion group
Pretty tiny. That really makes me appreciate Barbie bikinis. :-D
