Materials:
Basically, you can use any yarn you like with the appropriate hook size; thin yarns, lace yarns, and gradient yarns (e.g., Bobbel) work especially well.
For the size crocheted here, the following was used:
a total of approx. 350 g of Limone/Catania cotton yarn, 100% cotton, 50 g – 125 m, any color combination; here, 8 colors (partly using up leftover yarn); according to the label, suitable for hook sizes 2.5–3.5; used here: 3.5 mm crochet hook. You’ll also need: a yarn needle for weaving in ends, scissors. A stitch marker is helpful for beginners, and pins for blocking if needed.
The cotton yarn used here saved me from having to block it :-).
