My granddaughter wanted a garland with the letters of her name for her birthday. It was supposed to be made of individual pennants, because her sister has one like that too. When I took a closer look at her sister’s garland, I didn’t really like the letters on it. So I tried out some other ideas.

We had a cozy breakfast on the balcony today because it was too windy in the garden. Now we’re back from a walk in nature; next up is baking rolls, and then some crafts.

Ina, I just took a look at it and bookmarked it for now. First, I’d have to put some of my doll family up for adoption; until then, a new baby will have to wait… unfortunately.

Oh my gosh, Ina, that looks soooo cute. I’m falling more and more in love with your baby doll. You’re already a real pro at sewing.

Dear Ina, I’ve already admired your outfits on the blog. You’ve done a wonderful job, and the baby doll looks absolutely adorable in them. Each piece is prettier than the last.

I’ve gotten hooked on sewing now, too, and have sewn quite a few things, including doll clothes. I’ll show those in a separate thread soon.

But the idea that I’d stop knitting doll clothes because of that—I wouldn’t even think of it. Each has its own charm. I feel that knitted items are even nicer than sewn ones, especially for fall and winter. They look warmer and cozier.

Marlies, yes, sewing really is faster, but as I already wrote, each one is beautiful and unique in its own right.

Yeah, Petra, that really is crazy. Everything’s blooming all at once here, too. And yesterday it hailed! Luckily, they were just small hailstones that didn’t do much damage. But the ground was covered in ice.

The forecast calls for terrible weather this weekend. So I’ll be sitting down at my sewing machine to make a gift for my granddaughter. And of course, knitting is also on the agenda.

Now it’s that time again when toddlers can proudly head out on their Puky, balance bike, or tricycle. Of course, they also need a bag for the handlebars to collect treasures. You can crochet this bag for them; it fits perfectly and is easy to attach and remove.

In any case, I’ll sew several in different lengths, because there’s always plenty of fabric scraps. I’m sure we’ll end up making a pennant garland for ourselves, too. :))
