A baby holds a special place in our hearts right from the start. The heart with the baby feet on this baby blanket symbolizes this special love. The blanket is easy to knit using only knit stitches and purl stitches.

This baby jacket with a matching hat is knitted from sock yarn. There are also matching pants with cuffs. Both fit babies from about 3 to 12 months. You should have good knitting experience for this pattern.

Knitting baby items is a lot of fun, because you reach your goal quickly.
This baby hat is quick to knit.
It grows with the baby and doesn’t slip off their head when the little ones move around.
The ears are always covered and the little head stays nice and warm.
You can also knit the hat for dolls.

The baby bib / child’s bib is a great thing.
In the pattern, you’ll get the motif of the newly hatched chick “Piepsi is here!”.
BUT:
you can also work any motif from my dishcloths/washcloths into the bib.
I’ve described exactly how to do that for you.
You buy the bib pattern, and if you also like another motif for the bib, you only need to buy the less expensive dishcloth/washcloth, and then you can knit the bib with the next motif.
This way, you can also make and give away washcloths and bibs as a set.

The baby blanket “I LOVE MY TEDDY BEAR,” with lots of hearts, chicks, and lucky clover, is knitted using only knit and purl stitches.
That’s why it’s also suitable for beginners who have plenty of patience for a larger project.
If you don’t know whether this kind of knitting is right for you, first try a dishcloth/washcloth with, for example, a teddy motif.
If you succeed and enjoy it, then the blanket will work out too.

Knitting for babies is something very special. Along with the softest wool in the world, we knit in lots of love, too. Here are a few examples of what I knitted for my grandchildren.
I hope you have lots of fun making them.

Warm regards from Ina

Wrap Jacket with Hat for Babies from 0 to 6 Months

The especially stylish thing about this little jacket is the thick cable. The pieces are designed so they will fit for a while as the baby grows. The wool is wonderfully cuddly-soft and especially gentle on the skin, just right for babies.

The wrap jacket is very easy to put on. Its width is adjusted with a tie, and the sleeves can also be folded over for the early days if needed. The hat has a crosswise-stretchy pattern, so it automatically adapts to the baby’s head circumference.

Timeless Baby Blanket Made from Merino Wool

Blankets like these have the potential to become children’s absolute favorite blankets. My grandchildren received some when they were born, and they still carry them everywhere today. They are soft, cuddly, and warm. The soft merino wool makes them breathable and temperature-regulating. They can be washed in the washing machine. The blanket looks exactly the same on both sides. You’ll quickly memorize the pattern; there’s nothing complicated about it ... just knit and purl stitches.

Baby Kicking Bag in 2 Sizes

It is knitted in an entrelac pattern. If you knit it with gradient yarns, the entrelac pattern shows up especially beautifully. You can knit the kicking bag in 2 sizes. The ribbing at the tummy is folded double, so it keeps the sensitive belly and kidney area nice and warm. Babies can kick to their heart’s content in it without kicking themselves free.

To give the parents of a baby a little financial support, you can give them a cash gift for the birth. An original way to do that is this card.

It is made from photo cardstock and decorated with patterned paper. Folded up, it measures approx. 19.5 x 10.5 cm. The card is also easy for a beginner crafter to make.

A particularly cute baby hat. Quick to crochet and easy for beginners to make. A sweet gift to celebrate the arrival of a new baby.
