I added padding around the handles because I’ve been having increasingly severe problems with osteoarthritis in my hands. This way, I can grip them better and have much less pain in my hands when I use the walking aids.

Dear Inge, I think it’s great how creatively you tackle these challenges. Someone who can’t knit or sew has to make do with what they have, but you always find a way to make your life easier. Your aids should go into mass production and be included with the walking aids right away. It’s great that you’re sharing your ideas with everyone here!

Ina, underneath there is a 2-cm-thick foam pad wrapped around the handles with a hair elastic, and then I sewed the covers over it, also because it looks better and because they can be replaced if they get dirty
