Dear Community,
So here’s Part 7 of the Baking Corner. I hope you all continue to have fun baking.
You can read the previous posts here via the link. Baking Corner, Part 6.
Last night my husband asked, “What do you think—should we bake another cake?” I said, “Sure, I’d like to bake an apple cake,” but my husband said, “No, I’d rather have a marble cake.” “Okay,” I said, “I like both.” Then he said, “Peel two apples and soak the raisins; I’ll make the batter.” So I peeled the apples, chopped them up small, rinsed the raisins, and soaked them in rum. I added lemon juice to the apples, and my husband made a batter. He spread a layer of batter in a loaf pan, added a layer of raisins on top, then another layer of batter, followed by apple slices, then more batter, raisins again, batter, and one last layer of apple slices. We cut into the cake today—it’s so moist and delicious.

Best regards, Inge
