“worked” on May 1st 35 years ago—that’s when my son was born. Other than that, I’ll be spending the day with my gnomes and putting my feet up.

The weather is heavenly, so we’ll be sitting out on the balcony, having breakfast there (my sweetheart is still asleep), reading, crocheting, and enjoying the sun.
Personally, I don’t associate anything with Labor Day—as a kid, it was one of my favorites, because I’d always ask my mom in the morning: “Do I have to go to school today?” “No.” “And to church?” “No.” “Awesome!!!!!!” 🤣

We had a cozy breakfast on the balcony today because it was too windy in the garden. Now we’re back from a walk in nature; next up is baking rolls, and then some crafts.

Thanks, everyone, and happy May Day from me too. We’ll be staying home; my husband isn’t feeling too well, and unfortunately I haven’t been feeling all that great for days either. Headaches keep coming back, but no wonder with the weather going up and down like this. I’m also having breathing problems again, which is due to all the ups and downs too. So today we’ll be taking everything veeeery slowly.
We’ll see—I started a sewing project yesterday, or rather, drafted the pattern first; maybe I’ll continue with that today. Knitting will have to take a break for now; my hands aren’t cooperating again.

For me, it brings back memories of my childhood. It was a big festival; we had the day off from school, and there was ice cream and bockwurst. Those were good times.

I had to work today, so I decided to pull a prank.
So I went to work today, and the positive laughs were on my side. Wonderful.
