Pattern Mix, Material Mix + Color Mix: Find Extra Excitement Here

With the baby stuffed animals shown below, you can have a lot of fun experimenting with different materials, patterns, and colors. This gives them a very special texture that piques the baby’s curiosity, stimulates their senses, and encourages them to play with their toy again and again.

The head, ears, paws, and tail are crocheted from soft chenille yarn using single crochet stitches. The body is worked in strips. Here we use plush yarn and cotton yarn. Thanks to the double crochet pattern, it’s easy to see the stitches even with the plush yarn.
The inner part of the ears is made from matching fabric scraps. You can sew on cotton fabric, jersey, velour, or corduroy here. The nose and eyes are, of course, embroidered on.

Easter 2023: Quick + Beautiful Projects for Leftovers

What would Easter be without Easter bunnies? All children are happy to find a cuddly bunny in their Easter basket.

Hase Hoppel is a stuffed animal for the very youngest. Thanks to the different textures of the yarns used, it has a feel that is interesting for babies. This encourages them to spend a long time playing with their cuddly toy. So that they can grip their little bunny easily, the body is not stuffed. And of course, the eyes are embroidered!

Kindergarten children especially love finger puppets.  They can play with them more easily with their little hands than with hand puppets, and they can take them anywhere, because a little finger puppet fits in any pants pocket.

And here’s a particularly original Easter bunny: it’s a reversible doll that can be turned into a Santa simply by turning it inside out. So in one figure, you have not only a decoration for Easter, but also one for the Christmas season!

Handmade stuffed animals for babies are always very popular because they make a truly personal gift and are especially cherished. Often, children keep these first favorite stuffed animals into adulthood.

A music box with a melody of your choice can be built into the little lamb. Babies love this gentle music, which soothes them and helps them fall asleep. You can crochet the lamb (as shown in the picture) using plush yarn, which makes it especially cuddly. But if you’re not ready to try that yet, you can also use any other yarn.
Hoppel the Cuddly Bunny is ideal as a baby’s very first stuffed animal. The body is not stuffed so that the baby can grasp it like a comfort blanket. The different textures of the yarns used encourage the child to explore their toy through touch. This way, they can spend a long time playing with their favorite stuffed animal.

Young children often suffer from gas. How nice to have a warming grain pillow on hand! And even better when it’s tucked into a cover as cute as the Warm Bear Kuschel ! Kuschel is crocheted with plush yarn to make him extra cuddly. Only the body, which holds the warming pillow, is made with cotton yarn.

Pattern Mix and Material Mix: Exciting and Delightful

Babies love comfort blankets! They can grasp them more easily than stuffed cuddly toys and explore them with their mouths and little fingers.

The cuddly toys featured below are crocheted from three different kinds of yarn: the head, limbs, and little tail are made from fine chenille yarn, so the baby will love touching their little animal. The body is worked in a striped design with plush yarn and cotton and is not stuffed. To make the stitches easy to see while working, the body is not made with single crochet like the head and limbs, but with double crochet, which is easy to feel. These different patterns and materials create a very special texture that encourages the baby to keep engaging with their cuddly toy again and again.

You can choose between

Craft Toys and Dolls for Christmas

The Hoppel Cuddly Bunny is the perfect gift for a newborn baby. It’s crocheted using soft chenille yarn, plush wool, and cotton yarn. The combination of different materials gives it a texture that’s interesting for the baby, so they’ll keep exploring their stuffed animal through touch in new ways. To make sure the baby can grip their little animal easily, the body isn’t stuffed.

Mixing materials: Would you like to give this a try?

For the stuffed animals
Bunny Hoppel
and
Cat Mauzi
three different types of yarn are used: we crochet the head, paws, and tail with thin chenille yarn (e.g., Katia Velvet fine); for the body, we use colorful cotton yarn and matching plush yarn. Since the body is not stuffed with fiberfill, you can crochet double crochet stitches here, which makes finding the stitches in the plush yarn incredibly easier.
The result is a stuffed animal for babies that is extremely interesting to touch. The different textures of the yarns encourage the baby to feel their little animal again and again, which strengthens their senses and imagination. This way, they will stay engaged with their favorite animal for a long time.

Also for the
Warming Monkey Bibo
different materials are used. The body, which is a cover for a grain pillow and needs to withstand heat, is crocheted with cotton yarn. But to make the little animal a real cuddly friend to snuggle with, we crochet the head and limbs from cuddly-soft plush yarn.

Material Mix + Pattern Mix: Download Captivating Designs Now

With the following two crochet patterns for cuddly toys, you get a material mix and a pattern mix in one: both the cuddly bunny and the cuddly kitten are made from three types of yarn: the head, tail, and paws are crocheted from thin chenille yarn using single crochet stitches, while the body is made from plush yarn and cotton yarn, with double crochet stitches used here. This makes it no problem to crochet with the plush yarn, because the double crochet stitches are easy to feel. The different materials and patterns encourage babies to spend more time with their cuddly toy and explore it by touch.
Which would you rather crochet:
The cuddly bunny Hoppel
or
The cuddly kitten Mauzi ?

Working with Plush Yarn

There are definitely a few tricks for crocheting with plush yarn. For example, you can carry along an additional thread, or first crochet with cotton yarn into the back loops only and then with the plush yarn into the front loops. Stitch markers can help too, and of course it also depends on the yarn you use how well you can still see the stitches. Light-colored yarn is definitely easier than dark yarn. Some manufacturers also twist a shiny thread into the plush yarn, so you can see the stitches better.
I love stuffed animals made from plush yarn because they turn out wonderfully soft and cuddly.

Here are a few examples for you that would work well as gifts from the Easter Bunny:

If you have never crocheted with plush yarn before, you could first try the Cuddly Bunny Hoppel . It is crocheted with three kinds of yarn: the head, tail, and paws are made from chenille yarn, while the plush yarn is used together with cotton yarn when crocheting the body. Since the body is not stuffed, so it can be held like a cuddly cloth, you can crochet double crochets here instead of single crochets. They are easy to feel, and you can tell exactly where to insert your hook.
The different textures and patterns of the yarns encourage babies to explore their cuddly toy by touch. This stimulates all of the baby’s senses, so they will spend a long time playing with their cuddly toy.

Somewhat more experienced crocheters can then try making Bunny Purzel. Here too, different yarns are used: the pants and basket are made from cotton yarn, and the bunny’s body is made from plush yarn. Here I crocheted along with a white cotton thread (filet crochet thread). This makes it quite easy to see the stitches and also feel them.

The Music Box Lamb is made only from plush yarn (again crocheted together with a thin accompanying thread). The cotton yarn also gives the little animal’s body a stable shape without losing any softness. My granddaughter received a lamb like this 8 years ago for her birth, and although it was dearly loved, it has hardly lost any of its beauty.

Mixing Materials for Crafts + Letting Your Creativity Run Wild

Peacock Percy  I crocheted from royal blue cotton yarn. To make the tail nice and feathery, I used eyelash yarn in a mix of colors for it. Since the tail is made of circles where only the last round is crocheted with the eyelash yarn, it’s not difficult at all, but looks very decorative. The protruding head feathers are shaped from blue chenille wire.

The body of Warming Monkey Bibo (=cover for a grain pillow) was crocheted from cotton yarn because it is heat-resistant. To make the little monkey nice and cuddly, though, I used fluffy cuddle yarn for the head and limbs.

No fewer than three types of yarn are used for Cuddly Bunny Hoppel : chenille yarn for the head, tail, and limbs, and cotton yarn or teddy yarn for the body. The ears are also lined with matching fabric. This creates very different textures that give the baby a very special tactile experience.

Crafting for babies: start making the most beautiful baby designs for fall and Christmas now

Babies love comforters that they can easily grasp.
Hase Hoppel  is crocheted from three different types of yarn to give the baby a very special tactile experience: the head, tail, and paws are crocheted from fine, velvety chenille yarn, the body from cotton yarn and plush teddy yarn. Since the body is made with double crochet stitches, crocheting with the teddy yarn is no problem: the double crochet stitches are easy to feel, so you always know where to insert your hook.

All babies should have a music box. The gentle melody of the  Spieluhr-Lämmchen helps them fall asleep and becomes an evening ritual. The great thing about a self-crocheted music box is that you can choose the melody yourself. (It doesn't always have to be La-Le-Lu.)

And for tummy aches, a warm grain pillow helps the baby. Wärmebär Kuschel is both a remedy and a cuddly toy, and on cold nights he can warm up the bed in advance.

Christmas Gifts for Children 2021

Babies want to get Christmas presents too!

Music boxes are especially popular, of course, because they help little ones fall asleep. This cute lamb music box becomes especially cuddly if you use teddy yarn. So that the stitches are easier to see, I always crochet this yarn together with a thin carry-along yarn in a similar color. Then the stitches are easier to see and, if necessary, also to feel. But of course you can also crochet the lamb with a "normal" yarn of similar thickness.

The cuddly bunny Hoppel
and
Cuddly cat Mauzi

are crocheted using the same principle as a cuddle cloth, where the body is not stuffed. This makes it easier for the baby to grasp the little animal. Three kinds of yarn are used here: thin chenille yarn for the head, paws, and tail, and cotton yarn and teddy yarn for the body. The different textures of the yarns encourage the baby to explore the cuddly toy by touch again and again.

And for anyone who doesn't just want to cuddle, but also wants to be nice and warm in their little bed, these two are perfect:
Warm Bear Kuschel (cover for a grain pillow)
and
Warm Monkey Bibo (cover for a grain pillow)
The grain pillow is removed from the animal's belly and warmed in the microwave for a few minutes. Then it goes back into the little animal's belly and can now warm up the little bed. Also highly recommended for a walk in the frosty winter or for tummy aches!

300+: Download the June Highlights Now

Over 300 sales—you can certainly say that a pattern has proven itself.
Here I’m introducing you to a few of my well-proven patterns from my shop:

Cuddly toys:

The  Cuddly Bunny Hoppel  is an ideal first gift for a baby. It is crocheted from three different types of yarn, which encourages the baby to feel the different textures. The body is not stuffed so that the baby can grip it easily. And of course the eyes are embroidered!

The Music Box Lamb  is also a sweet gift for a baby. It is crocheted from cuddly-soft wool and uses only single crochet stitches. A handmade music box has the advantage that you can choose the melody yourself, because there are many more beautiful melodies besides "La-Le-Lu" and "Schlaf Kindllein schlaf"!

This cute fluffy kitten  is also very popular. Doesn’t it almost look like a real kitten? You can crochet it from teddy yarn (as shown in the picture), or use acrylic yarn and then brush it vigorously with a pet brush afterward. That will make the fur beautifully fluffy too.

Quick makes from leftover yarn:

Bookworms are always happy to get a new bookmark. And if it’s as unusual as this fiery dragon, then of course it will be especially well received.
Fantasy fans especially love this Dragon Bookmark!

If you want to give money as a gift, why not decorate the bills like this: as Mice to Spend!
If you crochet the mice in the color of the banknotes and place them in a little pan, your money gift becomes something truly personal!

Little girls are still crazy about dress-up dolls and mermaids. What could be more natural than turning the dolls into a magical mermaid? Any doll mommy is sure to love the  Mermaid Outfit for fashion dolls ! The fishtail is super easy to crochet from a few bits of leftover yarn. The floral top and flower headpiece go perfectly with it.

I designed this today and then sewed the prototype right away to see if it would turn out the way I’d imagined. For the most part, it did, so now I can also sew it in plush with just a few small changes.

Best regards, Inge

Easter Gifts 2021: Start Crafting Now

At Easter, many people want to make their loved ones happy with a gift. It doesn’t have to be anything big. Often a little something is enough when it comes from the heart. And if it’s handmade, the present becomes a very personal gift.

For babies:

Such a sweet lamb music box  with a personally chosen melody will accompany the baby for many years. The gentle music is soothing, and the cuddly little sheep will quickly become an indispensable helper at bedtime.

The cuddly bunny Hoppel  is also an ideal Easter gift for a baby. Because of the different materials used to crochet the bunny, the baby will be encouraged again and again to touch and explore their cuddly toy. Since the body is not filled with stuffing, the baby can grasp it easily, just like a comfort blanket. The face is, of course, embroidered on.

For toddlers:

Small children have lots of fun with finger puppets. Here you can crochet a whole bunny family from colorful leftover yarn and place them in the Easter nest. With the little bunnies, funny stories can then be acted out or made up.

It probably won’t work without chocolate eggs for children. This time, why not package them in a pretty candy jar! You can decorate the bunnies entirely according to your own ideas. You can use up your colorful leftover yarn for this project, too.The jars can then be brought out again every year for Easter.

There’s already a little Easter bunny sitting in this small Easter basket. You can sew it in place or set it loosely in the nest so the children can play with it, too. The rest of the basket is then filled with a few chocolate eggs.

For school-age children:

School-age children are sure to enjoy a fun bookmark. These cute Easter animals are crocheted in no time. Maybe you could add an exciting book to go with it?

You can also crochet the same Easter animals as pencil toppers .That makes writing, arithmetic, and drawing twice as much fun!

These fluffy surprise figures are great as packaging for a little surprise. Here the body is not stuffed with craft stuffing, but crocheted around an empty Kinder Surprise egg capsule. Inside, you can then hide a little something: a sweet treat, a voucher for an activity (which may only be possible again after Easter), or even a small banknote.

For adults:
Adults are sure to appreciate decorative items that are also useful.

In the kitchen:

The colorful Easter egg potholdersbring Easter cheer to even the smallest kitchenette. The delicate tulip pattern is also perfect for the rest of spring. The potholders are double-crocheted so you can slip your hand inside.

The chick dish sponge is extremely practical and decorative. It is very easy to crochet. Since it can easily be washed in the washing machine at 60° and dries very quickly, you’ll always have a hygienically clean dish sponge at hand.

In the bathroom:

cotton ball dispenser bunny Wolli is an original and funny way to store cotton balls. Wolli is filled through a zipper at the neck. The cotton balls then peek out of the backside as a little bobtail and are taken out from there. It’s best to crochet Wolli in colors that match your bathroom decor!

For the breakfast table:
If you like eating eggs for breakfast, you can hardly do without egg cozies. But they don’t have to be boring; they can help decorate the table to match the Easter celebration:

Easter bunny egg cozies: Here you can crochet each family member their very own matching egg cozy in their favorite color.

The hen and rooster egg cozies are especially popular at Easter, but they actually fit all year round. After all, chickens are the egg suppliers!

Make Animals + Amigurumi Now

Here I’d like to introduce you to my little zoo:

The animal of the year 2020 is the mole. Wouldn’t you like to crochet Mole Poldi  yourself? He definitely won’t cause any damage in your home!

Octopus Oskar is a cheerful fellow who feels right at home in any maritime decoration. He may have only 6 tentacles instead of 8, but they are all the longer for it!

Wherever Oskar is, Seahorse Hippie  is never far away. It has a glittery, colorful body because it is crocheted from lace yarn with a gentle color gradient.

Have you always wanted to crochet with fluffy yarn, but haven’t dared to try it yet?
Here are a few patterns that make it really easy:

The body of Little Bee Hanny  is crocheted with this kind of fluffy yarn. But since you use a contrasting additional thread at the same time (black with yellow fluffy yarn and yellow with black fluffy yarn), you can still see the stitches clearly.

With
Cuddly Bunny Hoppel
and

Cuddly Cat Mauzi
the body is crocheted with double crochet stitches in each case. Here you can feel the stitches very well and then know where to insert your hook.

For everyone who likes to snuggle up to something warm in winter, here are these two warming animals. They are covers for grain pillows that can be heated in the microwave.

 Warming Bear Kuschel
or
Warming Monkey Bibo,

Which one do you like better?

Baby Toys + Music Boxes

This cute little lamb with a built-in music box is a great gift for a newborn. The best part: you can choose the melody to suit your own taste, or the parents’ taste.
The lamb is crocheted entirely using single crochet stitches, with the pattern describing each round in detail. You can use teddy yarn (like the lamb in the picture). This makes the little animal nice and plush and fluffy, and you can hardly tell it was crocheted. The pattern also includes helpful tips on how to avoid problems with teddy yarn.
But if you’re not comfortable working with this material, you can just as easily use regular thick yarn and brush it up a bit afterward.
You can find the crochet pattern for the lamb here!

This cuddly bunny is made like a comfort blanket, meaning the body isn’t stuffed so the baby can grip it easily. The body is made from cotton yarn and teddy yarn, while the head, ears, and paws are made from velvety-soft, fine chenille yarn. This gives the animal a very special texture that encourages the baby to touch and explore. The eyes are, of course, embroidered!
Click here for the crochet pattern for Hoppel the cuddly bunny!

Mauzi the Cuddly Kitten is crocheted in the same way as the bunny. Here, too, teddy yarn and cotton yarn are used for the body, and chenille yarn for the head, tail, and paws.
Click here for the crochet pattern for Mauzi the Cuddly Kitten.

Little babies who aren’t quite ready to play with a “real” train set will still have lots of fun with a crocheted locomotive like this. It’s very sturdy, can be tossed around without causing any scratches, and is safe for babies to put in their mouths. And if it gets dirty, it can even be washed.
And when the baby gets a little bigger, they can take little dolls for a ride in the locomotive.

Christmas Gifts for Children 2020

Handmade toys are always something very special for children, because they are always one-of-a-kind pieces that no one else has. That’s why they are usually loved and kept well into adulthood. In my shop you’ll find lots of things that make great Christmas gifts for children.
Would you like to go window-shopping with me?

For babies:

Cuddly Bunny Hoppel
Cuddly Cat Mauzi
These cuddly animals have embroidered eyes and are crocheted with three types of yarn (chenille, cotton, and teddy yarn). The body is not stuffed, so the baby can easily grasp it like a cuddle cloth.

Lamb Music Box
The little lamb is very soft and cuddly and can also be crocheted as a stuffed animal without a music box.

Warm Bear Kuschel
Warm Monkey Bibo
Grain pillow covers as cuddly animals! The warmed-up animals pre-warm the bed or help with tummy aches.

And as decorations for the children’s room:

 Noah’s Ark Door Wreath

Sterntaler Door Wreath

Mouse in a Hot-Air Balloon

For crawling toddlers:

 crocheted train
Little dolls can ride along, because the cars have doors that can be opened. The cars are connected to each other with hook-and-loop fasteners.
Train car and Locomotive can also be purchased individually as patterns.

For crawling toddlers, finger puppets are better suited than hand puppets, since they are easier to play with even for little hands.
Value Set Finger Puppets Punch and Judy Theater
10 different little finger puppets for small children (Punch, grandmother, king, princess, witch, robber, policeman, crocodile, Seppel, and Gretel). Nothing is glued here and there are no loose small parts that could be swallowed.
Finger Puppets Snowman, Santa, Moose
Frosty the snowman, Santa Claus, and Rudi the moose fit especially well into the Christmas season—and they’re also a good idea as fillers for an Advent calendar!
You can find even more crochet patterns for finger puppets here!

At crawling age, children have new experiences every day, which they usually process at night. Many children are then afraid to fall asleep in the dark.

Guardian Angel Night Light
The little guardian angel gives off a gentle light, but it isn’t so bright that it disturbs healthy sleep. In this way, its presence is calming and it watches over your darling’s sleep.

For daycare and kindergarten children:

Older children can already play well with hand puppets, and they have lots of fun slipping into different roles:

6 Punch and Judy Theater Hand Puppets
In this value pack you get 6 crochet patterns at once: robber, Seppel, grandmother, Gretel, Punch, and crocodile.

 Angel and Devil
Or how about a little angel and little devil, especially at Christmas, so you can act out the conflicts between good and evil?

You can find even more crochet patterns for hand puppets here!

Kindergarten children need lots of movement!
 Hobby-Horse Unicorn Violetta
With the hobby-horse unicorn, that’s possible indoors even in winter! Violetta’s head is crocheted from cuddly-soft teddy yarn, and the stick is made from a soft pool noodle. That way no one can get hurt, even during wild romping, and Violetta can even come to bed in the evening if need be.

At kindergarten age, children like to imitate adults. Play kitchens and pretend grocery stores are then a very popular game that you can never have enough of. With these foods, the little shop is well stocked:

 Basket of Vegetables
Colorful Fruit Crate
Small Berry Basket

For schoolchildren:
Schoolchildren are very proud when they can already read a little. A beginning-reader book with a nice bookmark is a great gift then:
Frog Prince Bookmark
Dragon Bookmark
Fox Bookmark

You can find even more crochet patterns for bookmarks here!

Schoolchildren still love drawing terribly much, too. With these fun pencil toppers, writing and drawing are even more fun!
Pencil Toppers Dog, Cat, Mouse

Little schoolgirls are already very fashion-conscious, so they love playing with dress-up dolls. And of course they constantly need new clothes. How about a new wardrobe for the little dolls?
Short Dirndl for Dress-Up Dolls
 Peacock Princess Evening Dress
Mermaid Outfit for Dress-Up Dolls

You can find even more clothing and accessories for dress-up dolls here!

And for every age:

Cuddly toys!

is a great choice. It is crocheted from three types of yarn to give the baby a varied tactile experience that encourages them to keep touching the little bunny. Since the body is not stuffed, the baby can also grasp the cuddly bunny easily.

Many babies fall asleep especially well when you play them a familiar, soothing melody. The
  Music Box Lamb
is cuddly soft and can be fitted individually with a favorite melody.

With this
  locomotive
even very little babies can play. It can be explored with the mouth without the baby hurting themselves on sharp edges, and it can even be washed! . And when the child is a little older, they can let little dolls ride along as the train driver.

For kindergarten children:

Kindergarten children love finger puppets because they can hold them better with their little hands than larger hand puppets. With this
finger puppet value pack
you get the pattern for 10 different finger puppets for the Punch and Judy theater. You can design the little dolls entirely to your personal taste and use up small amounts of leftover yarn while crocheting.
(You can find even more finger puppets here.)

Playing shop and children’s kitchen are among kindergarten children’s favorite games. For the vegetable section, you can crochet this

basket with 9 types of vegetables
(also great for using up small amounts of leftover yarn). Then they can shop to their heart’s content and “cook” healthy meals.

For preschoolers:

Preschoolers love role play too. With hand puppets, which they bring to life with their hands, they can already put on real little plays.

The main characters in the Punch and Judy theater are, of course,
Punch

and
the crocodile
When crocheting these hand puppets, you once again have lots of your own design options.
(You can find even more hand puppets here.)

For schoolchildren:

Schoolchildren are very proud when they can already read a little book by themselves. But since that doesn’t go very quickly yet, of course they need a cool bookmark so they know where they stopped reading last time. How about this colorful

 dragon bookmark?
Fantasy, legend, and knight fans will love it!

By school age at the latest, little girls become fashion-conscious. Then they play fashion show with their fashion dolls, and the little dolls are dressed and changed endlessly. For that, they naturally need lots of fashionable clothing and accessories.

Here are a few ideas:

Pants and sweater
look different every time, depending on which yarn you use for them.

A pretty
dirndl
looks good on all fashion dolls and can be color-coordinated to suit the doll mom’s taste.

For vacation, there is a
10-piece vacation outfit set

and if things are to get fairytale-like, the little dolls can also transform into an enchanting water nymph with the help of the
mermaid outfit
.

He’s crocheted using three types of yarn: chenille, teddy yarn, and cotton. Crocheting with teddy yarn isn’t a problem here because you’re working with double crochet stitches; you can feel the individual stitches very clearly and won’t get confused.

Weekend Projects: Unwind with Our Bestsellers

Chocolate eggs aren’t quite right for very young babies yet. But the sweet, hand-crocheted cuddly bunny Hoppel is sure to be a welcome gift. He’s crocheted from three types of yarn: chenille, teddy yarn, and cotton. This gives him a particularly interesting texture and encourages the baby to touch him again and again. Since the body isn’t stuffed, it’s easy to grip, just like a comfort blanket. You can crochet him in the version for boys (left) or girls (right).

Animals + Amigurumi: Great New and Tried-and-True Patterns

You can never have enough cuddly toys—at least that’s what kids think! Because all children love cuddly toys. And when it’s a handmade animal from Mom, Grandma, or their favorite aunt, that’s something really special!
I have a few suggestions for you here:
Cuddly Bunny Hoppel as a boy or girl
This cuddly bunny is especially suitable as a very first cuddly toy. It is crocheted from three kinds of yarn. The body is not stuffed, so the baby can hold the bunny like a comfort blanket.

Alpaca Pamina
The alpaca is crocheted from soft cuddly yarn. To make the stitches easier to see while crocheting, a carry-along yarn in the same color is crocheted along with it. Afterwards, you can’t see the stitches at all anymore, so the animal looks like a plush toy.

Bully, the Elephant at the Beach
Here, too, I would preferably recommend plush yarn. This makes Bully especially cuddly and soft. But you can also use acrylic yarn or merino wool and brush it up a little afterwards.

Christmas Gifts for Children

Handmade stuffed animals are always a good idea! At least kids think you can never have enough stuffed animals. And if the stuffed animal was crocheted by Mom or Grandma, it’s something very special, of course!
Here are a few ideas:

Cuddly Bunny Hoppel
This bunny is especially suitable for small children as a cuddle cloth, since the body is not stuffed. The different yarns (velvet yarn, plush yarn, and cotton) create a very special feel.

Alpaca Pamina
Anyone who loves llamas will be delighted with Pamina too. She is about 25 cm tall and crocheted from fluffy yarn. In the pattern, you’ll get tips for crocheting with this yarn.

Sleepy Lamb
A music box can be built into the little lamb to help the child fall asleep.

 Cuddly Kitten
You can also build a music box into this baby cat. The kitten will be about 20 cm tall.

Bully, the Elephant at the Beach
Little elephant Bully is a clever fellow who loves playing by the water most of all.

Speaking of water, why not cuddle with a seahorse ?

100+: Designs You’ll Fall in Love With // Download Proven Quality Now.

Hoppel the bunny is the ideal first cuddly toy for your baby!

It is crocheted from three types of yarn: velvet yarn for the head and paws, and cotton or cuddly yarn for the body. The different texture of the materials gives the bunny a very special feel, so the baby will eagerly “explore” it by touch. The eyes and nose are, of course, embroidered, and the body is not stuffed, so the baby can easily grasp it like a comfort blanket.

For the cuddly yarn, I chose double crochet as the pattern. This means even less experienced crocheters can work with this yarn without any problems, because the double crochet stitches are easier to see and feel.

Wouldn’t that be a wonderful gift for a new little arrival? Then get started right away:

Handmade Animals: Fantastic August Designs

Baby’s first cuddly toy will be a bunny!
Hoppel the bunny is very easy to crochet. He is made from three different yarns that all feel quite different and encourage the baby to touch and explore: soft chenille yarn for the head, ears, tail, and paws, plush cuddly yarn  and cotton yarn for the body. The body is not stuffed with stuffing so the baby can grasp it better (like a cuddly blanket). The eyes are, of course, embroidered.

Craft Cuddly Animals Now

The first cuddly toy is crocheted by yourself!
Hoppel the Bunny
can be the first cuddly toy for your baby! It is crocheted from three different kinds of yarn, so baby’s little hands always have something new to feel and discover: the head, paws, and little tail are made from soft velvet yarn. Cotton and cuddly yarn are used for the body. Since double crochet stitches are used here, you can still see the stitches well even in the cuddly yarn. The body is not stuffed, so the baby can grasp the bunny like a cuddle cloth.
The eyes and nose are, of course, embroidered on so that Baby cannot swallow any small parts.

Color Promotion Patterns: Discover the Highlights.

The Hoppelhasen come from the January 2019 color promotion (white - purple - gray) - they are getting ready for Easter and are already carrying the Easter eggs to be hidden around with them.

   Here is the pattern

They are designed as a grasping toy with a built-in little bell and crinkle foil in the ears, making them a wonderful toy for the littlest ones. Even after Easter, they are also perfect as a baby shower gift.

In summer 2018, using the colors white - pink - apple green - rose, the following grasping toy was created, which is also great for using up leftover yarn.

   Here is the pattern

New crochet patterns from February and January 29, 30, and 31.

This cute bag makes hunting for Easter eggs twice as much fun.

The bag is worked in waistcoat stitch; it’s not hard at all, and the pattern includes a practice section for it.
The crocheted-in motif can be seen once from the front and once from the back.

Crochet Pattern: Hoppel Bunny Bag

I crocheted it with a size 3.5 hook and cotton yarn.
Leftover yarn is enough; approx. 50 g of the main color is needed.

As always, the pattern is written in a beginner-friendly way without abbreviations.

Final Sprint and Awards Ceremony

Hello, this is my first time taking part in the titles - I'm already very excited for the awards ceremony. Although for me it really is true: taking part is everything :)

ResteBeste in January
[x ] In January I used up lots of pretty + colorful leftover yarn that I had actually wanted to use in a leftover monster, and then it turned into a pattern after all :) Maybe I can also help others turn their leftover yarn into a lovely project with it.

Yarn Diet / Yarn Emperor/Empress / Inner-Pig-Dog Conqueror in January
That just doesn't work for me - I had firmly planned to do it, and it worked for a whole two weeks - maybe next month ...

Shopping Queen / King:
[x ] I significantly stocked up my supplies for Easter / Carnival / Valentine's Day / spring, etc. and had fun doing it. :- )
Details: I started two new projects, one of them also a commissioned piece for a friend, and I simply needed new, matching yarn for that

Pattern Optimization Champion + Hero of the Authors = author title
[ x] I uploaded at least one pattern in January (see below)
[ x] In January I worked on the current seasonal topics (warm winter clothing, Easter, Valentine's Day, Carnival, spring, etc.) and uploaded one or more patterns for them, or will still do so.
Hmm, I wonder if that counts twice (see below) :). But in addition to the Easter eggs, I also uploaded a pattern for a grasping toy that also fits the Easter theme (Hoppelhase grasping toy with egg)
[ x] In January I uploaded a pattern for evergreen topics such as leftover yarn, beginners, animals, owls, etc.
My leftover yarn turned into a lovely new pattern for Easter eggs as decorations or little gifts to bring to Easter brunch :)  Take a look here.

45 Club: Bull’s-eyes in October

Would you like to give your children or grandchildren something very special? Then crochet their toys yourself. They’ll love it:

Here we have Hoppel the bunny, who is perfect for cuddling for the very little ones. He is crocheted from super-soft yarn in three types: velvet yarn, fluffy yarn, and cotton. Whether in shades of pink and with eyelashes for little girls, or a bit simpler in blue for little boys—he’s always a hit!

What little boy wouldn’t want to be a train driver someday?

This crocheted locomotive is suitable even for very young train fans. It’s wonderfully soft, can be tossed around without worry, and can even come along to bed in the evening! It’s also big enough to transport small figures (e.g., Playmobil).
The individual parts are very easy to crochet, but you’ll need to allow some time for sewing the parts together.
You’ll find more details and the pattern here!
