Chocolate eggs aren’t quite right for very young babies yet. But the sweet, hand-crocheted cuddly bunny Hoppel is sure to be a welcome gift. He’s crocheted from three types of yarn: chenille, teddy yarn, and cotton. This gives him a particularly interesting texture and encourages the baby to touch him again and again. Since the body isn’t stuffed, it’s easy to grip, just like a comfort blanket. You can crochet him in the version for boys (left) or girls (right).

If your child is afraid to fall asleep in the dark, why not crochet this beautiful guardian angel for them, which gives off a soft light at night? The night light soothes and comforts in the darkness, but isn’t so bright that it disturbs healthy sleep. Using a remote control, you can choose whether the angel emits colored or white light.

The following materials were used for the angel:
  • approx. 15 g of Catania cotton yarn by Schachenmayr (125 m/50 g, color: soft apricot)
  • approx. 15 g of Catania Glamour cotton yarn by Schachenmayr (125 m/50 g, color: cream)
  • approx. 10 g Primo doll’s wool by Woll Butt (50 m/50 g, color: natural)
  • approx. 10 g size 5 filet crochet yarn (400 m/100 g, color: natural)
  • leftover Glitter by Gründl (110 m/25 g, color: silver)
  • leftover Creative Bubble by Rico (90 m/50 g, color: silver)
  • stuffing
  • Crochet hook, 2.5 mm
  • Crochet hook, 3.0 mm
  • Crochet hook, 4.0 mm
  • 1 sheet of white tracing paper, DIN A4
  • Glue
  • 1 (underwater) LED light (Itian) with color-changing feature and remote control

This sweet baby pinafore dress is just right for the coming spring and summer. It’s easy to knit, seamless, and has a perfect fit. Best of all: it grows a little with your child and fits from 6 months to 1.5 years.

Doll clothes can be knitted quickly and easily from leftover yarn—perfect for the weekend.
This cute sweater with a side button placket is knitted using the RVO method. If you have knitting experience, it’s quick and easy.

There are also 2 patterns for matching pants. Both fit dolls measuring approx. 45–50 cm, including Baby Born. The sweater also fits teddy bears of this size—and both items also fit small babies (preemies).

Make the doll mom very happy and knit the complete set right away. You’ll see her eyes light up.

A relaxing weekend is promised by this loop scarf with a simple knit-purl pattern.

It is knitted with circular needles, and both the width and the height can be varied by adding pattern repeats. In the pattern, I used a yarn with 125 m / 50 g, and the loop scarf can be worn doubled.

Crochet pattern for an oval basket. Bring spring into your home with a few colorful flowers.

But if you’ve already crocheted more than just single crochet and double crochet stitches, this pattern is a breeze. The shell stitch pattern is explained in detail in the pattern—complete with pictures. My crocheted baskets range in size from 20 to 23 cm, since you can use almost any yarn.

If you’d like to do some spontaneous crafting this weekend, you’ll need a small project that you already have the yarn for at home. I’ve picked out a few projects like that for you.

I wish you a wonderful weekend and time for your handmade projects.
Warm regards from Ina

Wrist Warmers with a Decorative Cable
--> You only need 50 g of yarn, ideal for the current weather when gloves are too warm but it’s too cold without them, with a shaped thumb gusset, a lovely cable pattern at the top, and the inside is knitted in stockinette stitch

Or a Spring Scarf Made from Leftover Yarn
--> Simply pick out leftover yarn in colors that go well together and you’re ready to start; an ideal project for beginner knitters, and we don’t have to weave in any ends if we simply knot the ends into fringe

and suggestion no. 3 for a little weekend craft project would be a Basket with a Mesh Pattern
--> You can crochet it in any size you like; it will always find a little spot and a purpose somewhere, and maybe you’d like to use it as an Easter nest or decoration

Here are a few lovely ideas for a relaxing weekend:

1) Shopping net "Caro-Line" - This classic, beautiful mesh bag is also easy enough for beginners.

2) One of my favorite shawls - quick, easy, and so much fun to crochet... and an absolute joy to wear. Very well suited for beginners.

3) Triangular shawl "Mayla" - classically beautiful and airy light. The lace pattern is very easy to work, repeats every 2 rows, and is wonderfully simple to make. The shawl is crocheted from the side and is nearly symmetrical.
