Dear users, dear authors,
How about a new stuffed animal made from plush wool / plush yarn? Here in this thread, you'll find suitable models and many other possible uses.

@Authors,
2-3 patterns per author are enough. Don't forget links, images, info, etc.

I tried it ... personally, I can only knit with plush yarn! When crocheting, you’d have to see through all the plush to know where to insert your hook. Knitting is much, much easier. Every stitch is safely on the needle. Feel free to take a look at my ideas made with plush yarn. I hope you enjoy looking at them and making them yourself.

Warm regards from Ina

Princess dress for small dolls

The doll dresses are very light, because the plush yarn is feather-light. You don’t see any stitch definition, basically just a fluffy dress. I designed different versions so it doesn’t get boring. You can combine different versions of a sleeve scarf with it.

Fluffy baby blanket with crocheted border

Sooo cuddly soft. But don’t worry, the yarn doesn’t shed. However, you do have to knit diligently, because you can knit the blankets in sizes 70 x 70 or 90 x 90 cm.

The Ice Princess’s Coat

What would it be without the wide plush trim all around? Exactly, it wouldn’t look like anything. With the plush trim, it’s worthy of a princess. All doll mommies love it and would most like to have a coat like that for themselves.

There are definitely a few tricks for crocheting with plush yarn. For example, you can carry along an additional thread, or first crochet with cotton yarn into the back loops only and then with the plush yarn into the front loops. Stitch markers can help too, and of course it also depends on the yarn you use how well you can still see the stitches. Light-colored yarn is definitely easier than dark yarn. Some manufacturers also twist a shiny thread into the plush yarn, so you can see the stitches better.
I love stuffed animals made from plush yarn because they turn out wonderfully soft and cuddly.

Here are a few examples for you that would work well as gifts from the Easter Bunny:

If you have never crocheted with plush yarn before, you could first try the Cuddly Bunny Hoppel . It is crocheted with three kinds of yarn: the head, tail, and paws are made from chenille yarn, while the plush yarn is used together with cotton yarn when crocheting the body. Since the body is not stuffed, so it can be held like a cuddly cloth, you can crochet double crochets here instead of single crochets. They are easy to feel, and you can tell exactly where to insert your hook.
The different textures and patterns of the yarns encourage babies to explore their cuddly toy by touch. This stimulates all of the baby’s senses, so they will spend a long time playing with their cuddly toy.

Somewhat more experienced crocheters can then try making Bunny Purzel. Here too, different yarns are used: the pants and basket are made from cotton yarn, and the bunny’s body is made from plush yarn. Here I crocheted along with a white cotton thread (filet crochet thread). This makes it quite easy to see the stitches and also feel them.

The Music Box Lamb is made only from plush yarn (again crocheted together with a thin accompanying thread). The cotton yarn also gives the little animal’s body a stable shape without losing any softness. My granddaughter received a lamb like this 8 years ago for her birth, and although it was dearly loved, it has hardly lost any of its beauty.

For these booties, I knitted a pattern using slipped stitches. Plush yarn also works very well here and at the cuff as a finishing touch.

The booties are knitted in the round using a set of double-pointed needles.

It feels a bit unfamiliar at first, but from row to row, knitting with cuddly yarn gets easier.
Here are a few examples from my shop!
