There will be another warning drill next week. You know how it goes: Better a little embarrassment on Warning Day and then work on improving it than to fail in a real emergency.

How did Warning Day go in your town in previous years? Did your cell phones and all other warning channels work? Has the system been improved over the years?

Everything went really well here during the last few drills, so it should work this time, too. I used to think these warning days were kind of “superfluous”—I mean, we’d become so complacent, you know? Now I see things differently, unfortunately.
