With brightly colored yarns, you can brighten up the gray days of winter and get a head start on crocheting your spring decorations. At the same time, you’ll use up your leftover yarn and end up with beautiful Easter eggs for your Easter decorations.
In my shop I have two different versions: one very easy one for true crochet beginners (though you should know the basic stitches), and one version for advanced crocheters.

Colorful Easter eggs with a floral pattern. 

Depending on the egg and yarn used, they measure 6–9 cm. To make them, you’ll need the following (per egg): cotton crochet yarn 175 m/50 g, approx. 26 m total. 2.0 mm crochet hook. Styrofoam egg approx. 6–7 cm in size. Ribbon for hanging. With this pattern, you can also make the Easter eggs using other crochet yarn. In that case, you’ll need slightly larger plastic eggs. For example: cotton crochet yarn 115 m–125 m/50 g, approx. 32 m total. 3.0 mm crochet hook. Plastic or Styrofoam egg approx. 8–8.5 cm in size. Of course, an Easter bunny is a must too. With African flowers, it turns out wonderfully colorful.

Cherry blossoms and tulips are enchanting symbols of spring:


The cherry tree in full bloom can be used as a door wreath or wall decoration and is sure to draw lots of admiring glances. 
It is also very easy to crochet, even for beginners with a little practice. 



The cherry blossoms can be crocheted in white, light pink, or bright pink—and don’t worry: the ends from all those blossoms do not have to be sewn in :-)

What is spring without spring flowers? And while real crocuses, daffodils, and tulips are still a ways off, you can already make some out of paper.

The first to delight us in spring are little crocuses with their beautiful colors. Arranged in a delicate little basket, they look especially pretty.

Are there any other suitable patterns?

These cute washcloths are quick to knit and fit perfectly in an Easter basket. Knitted with slightly thicker yarn, you can also make a dishcloth or potholder from them. The pattern is created using only knit and purl stitches. Since every row in the pattern is written out stitch by stitch, even beginners will manage well.

Depending on which cotton yarn you choose, this cloth can be used in many different ways. 

With a yardage of 87 m, it’s perfect as a pot holder or trivet in the kitchen for hot pots. With a soft cotton yarn, you can make a lovely dishcloth or a fun washcloth for the kids.

For the Easter basket, I’ve designed another Easter motif for another dishcloth. 



Apple green is perfect for a little bunny. The pattern uses knit and purl stitches and is suitable for beginners.
