Knitting Pattern Washcloth "Elo Elephant" - easy

This cute elephant Elo is looking for a little friend – Elo likes cleaning smeared faces or fingers, he keeps eyes dry when hair washing. He’s also a good comforter and wipes tears tenderly away. With Elo, the ordinary things are just a bit more fun!

If you use the suggested baby yarn, the cloth will be very soft and soothing on the skin. The cloth is very easy to work with only knits and purls. You could also make a dishcloth with the motif, then I recommend a 100 % cotton yarn.

The pattern explains very detailed and stitch by stitch how you can knit this washcloth, so even beginners with basic knitting skills will succeed. And if there should be any questions, I`ll be happy to help!

Required skills:

• basic knitting skills (cast on, cast off, knit and purl)
• optional (for the handle): basic crocheting skills (chain, sling stitch, single stitch)

You will get very detailed directions with written instructions for each row. In addition you will get a knitting chart for the motif in a separate file. You can choose if you go with the written instructions or prefer working with the knitting chart.

With a gauge of 28 stitches x 45 rows = 10 x 10 cm, size of the washcloth will be approx. 21 cm x 21 cm.

• Schachenmayr Baby Smiles Cotton Bamboo (156 m / 50 gr) approx. 25-30 gr light green
• for a dishcloth I recommend a 100 % cotton yarn
• 2,5 mm (US 1 or 2) knitting needles
• Crochet hook 3 mm (optional, for the handle)
