These love birds are so nice to look at that you can use the motif for various projects, depending on the yarn you use.
For example, using a soft baby yarn the cloth can be a comforter right from birth – when the child gets older, it can still be used as a soft face cloth / wash cloth. Crocheted with 100 % cotton yarn you can work the cloth as XL potholders or as a decorative dish cloth. With bulky yarn you can even crochet a doll blanket or a pillow case.
Crocheting with two colours is quite easy and is explained in detail in the pattern.

Schachenmayr Baby Smiles Cotton Bamboo: Gauge (crocheted with both colours) 25 stitches x 24 rows = approx. 10 x 10 cm; size of the finished cloth will be approx. 24 x 24 cm
Schachenmayr Catania: Gauge (crocheted with both colours) 23 stitches x 23 rows = approx. 10 x 10 cm;
size of the finished cloth will be approx. 25,5 x 25,5 cm
If the gauge is different, the size of the finished cloth will be different, too.
