Who does not remember these cute egg warmer hens, as they were usually already used by grandma. I worked them with thick yarn and modified them a bit and I'm completely in love with the sweet poultry.
At Easter and otherwise a super cute decoration for the breakfast table.

  • Yarn: Schachenmayr Catania Grande (LL 63 m {approx. 69 yds} / 50 g {approx. 1 ¾ oz}),
    Yarn Weight: Worsted – 10ply / Medium (4)
    here used: Natur (Nr. 3105), Leinen (Nr. 3248), Orange (Nr. 3281), Signalrot (Nr. 3115)
    and Schwarz (Nr. 3110); for the body about 20 grams, for beak, comb and eyes some leftover yarn
  • corchet hook 3.0 mm and 4.0 mm
  • sewing needle
  • stitch marker
  • elastic cord (rubber cord) Ø 1 mm, per hen approx. 10 cm

Schnelles Geschenk zu Ostern
Sehr gut geschriebene Anleitung, die Hühner sind schnell und einfach gehäkelt. Ich hatte das normale Catania Garn doppelt genommen. Das passte zwar von der Größe, wurde aber sehr starr und sperrig. So bin ich umgestiegen auf ein preiswertes Acrylgarn und mit dem Ergebnis sehr zufrieden.

Ich kann den Bewertungen hier nur zustimmen. Verständlich geschriebe Anleitung, Zeichenerklärung und ein Muster, das auch Anfänger verstehen. Nach sowas habe ich gesucht...und gefunden.

    Wie sieht es aus mit Wolke/Acryl für diese Eiermützen, das hält die Wärme ja eigentlich besser? Grundsätzlich arbeite ich lieber mit BW.
