Little flying birds hanging decor & flower stakes simply from leftover yarn

Product description

The little birds bring cheerful color and good mood in your home and can be used in many ways for decoration, for example, as a decorative hanger on branches in a vase or as flower stick for potted plants.

The colorful beauties can be crocheted, even by beginners with a little practice, very easily and quickly - and since you need very little material, you can help your scraps of yarn or crochet thread remnants to new splendor.

Level of difficulty: very easy for advanced students, easy to intermediate for beginners with some practice.

single crochet
crochet single crochets together
single crochet only in the back loop

In addition to the written crochet instructions, the PDF file also includes the crochet charts for the wings and tail feathers and lots of detailed and explained photos so you can successfully make the happy little birds easily, step by step.

Materials List

Cotton yarn LL 125m-50g = 137yds-1.75oz / Sport 12 wpi / 5 ply / fine
approx. 10 g = 0.35 oz in desired colors
Crochet hook EU 3.0 mm / US size D / UK size 10

1 wooden shish kebab skewer or wooden toothpick
filling material
Scissors, wool needle for sewing threads
Pliers/scissors for shortening the skewers
Textile glue or liquid/thick craft glue
1 felt-tip pen in black or yellow or color of your choice
2 black beads about 2.5-3mm = 0.1-0.2“ , thin needle + sewing thread (alternatively, the eyes can also be embroidered with some black thread)

For hanging: thin craft wire/silver wire 26-28 gauge or nylon decorative thread or white sewing thread
As a flower stake: 1 skewer of shish kebab

Optional: a little spray starch
