in alphabetical order

Arni is a winner and has won

Congratulations on becoming UFO Queen for two UFOs and extra points for giving them as gifts. Congratulations on being Best of the Leftovers and extra points also for gifting and for using up even the very last leftovers. I think that’s great.

Congratulations also on Yarn Emperor/Empress for one month without buying yarn, and congratulations on Sock Queen as well. Ten finished projects are really impressive; congratulations on Busy Little Brownie and on Yarn Rescuer for the unpopular ribbon yarn.
It’s nice that you learned something new / are now also crafting with safety eyes, and that you were able to wrap yourself in a wool blanket for crafting and had warm tea with it. :-)

CreatOwl is a winner and has won

Could it be that you haven’t joined in here yet, or haven’t been around for a while? Of course that gets extra points.

Congratulations on the title Shopping Queen for buying the urgently needed yarn, and of course also on Sock Queen for the
test sock, knitted in the double-face technique.

The author titles “Hero of the Authors” and “Pattern Optimization Champion” are awarded only if all four boxes have been checked, but of course you also get extra points for uploading a new pattern.

Fun-Design is a winner and has won

Congratulations on Best of the Leftovers in January for the six fir trees made from the leftover yarn from the Christmas gifts. Extra points for using up the leftover yarn before it could end up in the leftover-yarn box.

Congratulations on Yarn Empress in January. Yarn gifts / gift certificates are still okay. Have fun with them.

Congratulations also on the title Busy Little Brownie for the handmade projects and for painting and packing away the Christmas tree. Extra points, of course, for starting really early with the crochet fir trees / the Christmas tree / Christmas 2019. :-) Extra points also for the great collages. The Fimo handles for the crochet hooks also count for the title “Learned Something New” and are very pretty.
Congratulations also on the title Concrete Casting Specialist for the necklace pendants. How heavy are the pendants?

It’s nice that you could have a cozy blanket, hot tea, and wonderful walks.

Extra points, of course, because your clear photos make the awards ceremony easier for me. Keep having fun. :-)
If you add yourself to the birthday calendar, you’ll get your own thread next year too. I normally don’t open threads retroactively. Wishing you a wonderful year.

Haekeltrulla is a winner and has won.

Congratulations on Yarn Empress, the final round for world domination, domination over the galaxy, Inner-Pig-Dog Tamer, and, starting in January 2020, congratulations on Yarn Mountain Conqueror too. You can do it and you’re doing it wonderfully.

Congratulations also on Busy Little Brownie. It’s great that you’re using up the yarn you already have. The extra-long table runner naturally gets extra karma points. :-)

mowi19 is a winner and has won

Congratulations on UFO Queen for three UFOs at once; that also counts for Yarn Rescuer and Frog Monster Tamer. Of course there are extra points for that too, and of course also for the photos. And it also still counts for the title Best of the Leftovers, since lots of leftover yarn was used for it.

Congratulations on Yarn Empress and good luck with your continued yarn diet.
Congratulations on Sock Queen for six pairs of socks. Extra points for gifting and for the new heel technique. Congratulations on Busy Little Brownie for ten finished projects and three uploaded patterns, and for lots of hard work in “real life” beyond crafting.

The author titles “Hero of the Authors” and “Pattern Optimization Champion” can only be awarded if all four boxes have been checked, but even so, it’s enough for lots of extra points for the uploaded pattern for the color campaign, for the uploaded pattern for the socks, which covers the current topic of winter / warm clothing, and for the pattern with the baby bear accessories, which also covers the evergreen topic of animals.

Congratulations also on Wallflower Rescuer for the bear pattern.
Congratulations on learning a new knitting technique for sock heels. It’s nice that you were able to wrap yourself in a blanket for crafting.

Nadeleule is a winner and has won

Extra points for the collage with your January projects. Congratulations on Best of the Leftovers for the headband and the slippers (that also gets the title Yarn Rescuer), and also on Shopping Queen / for buying the sock yarn. Congratulations also on the title Sock Queen for the pairs of socks with a heel flap and with the mowi technique. That also counts for the title “Learned Something New.”

Congratulations also on the title “Busy Little Brownie” for the many handmade projects including the coat and the decluttering. You definitely earned extra points for perseverance and bravery. :-)

It’s nice that you could have a cozy blanket and hot tea. If you keep being this busy, the unloved winter will surely pass quickly.

RuthK is a winner and has won

Congratulations on the title Best of the Leftovers for the many pretty leftover-yarn projects. Congratulations also on Shopping Queen. That looks like fun.

If you buy extra skeins for leftover-yarn projects, then that is certainly lovely, but then the title Best of the Leftovers doesn’t quite work anymore. Would you like to explain that again? I’ll of course adjust it accordingly or edit this out again if need be.

Congratulations on the title “Busy Little Brownie.” You really earned it. :-) The costume looks great and you really got a lot done this month.

I can only award the author titles “Hero of the Authors” and “Pattern Improvement Champion” if all four boxes have been checked, but three out of four is definitely impressive and brings you good karma.
Congratulations on four uploaded patterns, one of which took part in the color project. It’s nice that your patterns were able to cover the seasonal topic of Valentine’s Day and the evergreen topics of decor, leftover yarn, animals, and also doll accessories. Extra points, of course, for the cute dogs.

It’s nice that you don’t have to do without your cozy blanket. :-)

Sarahkueken is a winner and has won

Extra karma points for you because you’re joining in for the first time and are already really cleaning up on titles.

Congratulations on Best of the Leftovers in January. It’s great that you were able to use up lots of leftover yarn and also created a pattern for it. Of course that also gets extra points, because you encourage other people to use up their leftovers.

What is a leftovers monster?

Two weeks of yarn diet aren’t enough for the title, but they are definitely enough for a few extra karma points. :-) It’ll work out.
For now, though, congratulations first on Shopping Queen for stocking up your yarn supply for your new projects and commissioned work.

I can only award the author titles “Hero of the Authors” and “Pattern Optimization Champion” if all four boxes have been checked, but you were really busy as an author. Two created and uploaded patterns, and on top of that for the current topic of Easter, plus covering the evergreen topics of leftover yarn, decor, and animals—that deserves praise, lots of extra points, and hopefully the users / buyers will like it too.

Wollbaerli / Christina E. is a winner and has won

I can’t quite get used to your new name yet, but I’m sure I will. :-)

Congratulations on UFO Queen for the poncho. If it was a gift, I’m not quite sure, then of course there are extra points for that too.
Congratulations also on Best of the Leftovers for the bookmarks and tissue pouches. Extra points for the photos.
Congratulations on Shopping Queen and have fun with your purchases. :-)
Congratulations on Sock Queen for the 13 mini socks; of course there is also an extra karma point for that because they were given as gifts. There are extra diligence points too. :-) That of course also counts for “Busy Little Brownie” and for lots of karma points for the many gifts and photos. It’s nice that you were able to have many cozy blanket evenings.

Wollefaden / Marion is a winner and has won

Of course there are extra points for the photos and the gifted projects. Congratulations on Best of the Leftovers and extra points because all projects were made from leftover yarn. That is impressive.
It’s great that you’re continuing the yarn diet and working toward the “Super Yarn Mountain Conqueror.” You showed so much perseverance on the way to “Inner-Pig-Dog Tamer”; you’ll manage it.

Congratulations on Sock Queen and extra points for mending another pair of socks. Hardly anyone does that these days.
I’m not surprised that you definitely qualify for the title “Busy Little Brownie.” :-) Congratulations.
Congratulations also on the title Wallflower Rescuer for the dino and extra points for the pattern review. It’s nice that you were able to learn something new in January. Have fun with the mowi heel.

Hello, this is my first time taking part in the titles - I'm already very excited for the awards ceremony. Although for me it really is true: taking part is everything :)

ResteBeste in January
[x ] In January I used up lots of pretty + colorful leftover yarn that I had actually wanted to use in a leftover monster, and then it turned into a pattern after all :) Maybe I can also help others turn their leftover yarn into a lovely project with it.

Yarn Diet / Yarn Emperor/Empress / Inner-Pig-Dog Conqueror in January
That just doesn't work for me - I had firmly planned to do it, and it worked for a whole two weeks - maybe next month ...

Shopping Queen / King:
[x ] I significantly stocked up my supplies for Easter / Carnival / Valentine's Day / spring, etc. and had fun doing it. :- )
Details: I started two new projects, one of them also a commissioned piece for a friend, and I simply needed new, matching yarn for that

Pattern Optimization Champion + Hero of the Authors = author title
[ x] I uploaded at least one pattern in January (see below)
[ x] In January I worked on the current seasonal topics (warm winter clothing, Easter, Valentine's Day, Carnival, spring, etc.) and uploaded one or more patterns for them, or will still do so.
Hmm, I wonder if that counts twice (see below) :). But in addition to the Easter eggs, I also uploaded a pattern for a grasping toy that also fits the Easter theme (Hoppelhase grasping toy with egg)
[ x] In January I uploaded a pattern for evergreen topics such as leftover yarn, beginners, animals, owls, etc.
My leftover yarn turned into a lovely new pattern for Easter eggs as decorations or little gifts to bring to Easter brunch :)  Take a look here.

Well, then I’ll keep going. In January I got a lot done. Here are all the projects individually:

UFO King/Queen in January
[ x] In January I finished several UFOs and truly earned the title UFO King/Queen.
One UFO—the cuddly bear—had been lying around since last summer. I brought it in for a landing right on time on January 31. In the process, I used up unloved yarn and crocheted the little bear at least twice because I had to frog it so often.
The second UFO is a cozy for a thermos bottle.
The third UFO is a pair of leg warmers.

Best of the Leftovers in January
[ x] In January I used up lots of pretty +  colorful leftover yarn / emptied my leftovers basket and earned the title Best of the Leftovers for it.
The hot-water bottle cover is crocheted entirely from leftovers. I also knitted lots of sock-yarn leftovers into socks. The leg warmers were also knitted from leftovers.

Yarn Diet / Yarn Emperor/Empress / Inner-Pig-Dog Conqueror in January
[x ] I haven’t bought any yarn for quite some time. The title Yarn Emperor/Empress definitely and deservedly belongs to me.
And I’m going to keep dieting. I plan not to buy any yarn in the coming months either, because I still want to reduce a lot of my stash. Maybe I’ll even manage to earn the Inner-Pig-Dog Conqueror title.

NEW NEW NEW
Sock Queen / Sock King
[ x] I worked on socks in January and finished a total of 6 pairs of socks.
In the process, I developed a new heel technique that I had been tinkering with for some time.
I gave away 5 pairs of socks.

Busy Little Brownie
[ x] I was able to get a lot of handmade projects done in January.
1 pair of leg warmers
6 pairs of socks knitted
1 cuddly bear finished crocheting
1 thermos-bottle cozy finished crocheting and a new one started
1 pillow cover knitted
3 patterns written

[ x] I was also very busy in January beyond handmade projects.
I tidied up and got rid of quite a bit.

NEW NEW NEW
Pattern Optimization Champion + Hero of the Authors = author title
[ x] I uploaded at least one pattern in January.
I took part in the color campaign with the reversible-look pillow
[x ] In January I worked on the current seasonal themes (warm winter clothing, Easter, Valentine’s Day, Carnival, spring, etc.) and uploaded one or more patterns for them, or will still do so.
It’s the new socks with the simple mowi heel.
[x ] In January I uploaded a pattern for evergreen topics such as leftover yarn, beginners, animals, owls, etc.
It is a pattern that had been sitting unfinished on my computer for some time. Now I have finished it: The clothing—sweater and sleeping bag—for the knitted baby bear:

Wallflower Rescuer in January
[ x] I finally finished my most complicated pattern so far, one I had downloaded quite some time ago // a pattern that had been sitting unworked for a long time, and am therefore a Wallflower Rescuer.
It is the cuddly bear that was a UFO for several months.

Rescuer of the Stubborn Yarn / of the Stubborn Material, formerly called Stepchild-Yarn Rescuer //
Stepchild-Material Rescuer
[ x] In January I used up old, unloved yarn and am a Rescuer of the Stubborn Yarn / Yarn Rescuer
The cuddly bear was crocheted from unloved fuzzy yarn that is very difficult to work with.

Frogging-Monster Conqueror in January
[x ] In January I partially or completely frogged a UFO / a work in progress and then finished it after all. I am therefore a Frogging-Monster Conqueror.
I crocheted the cuddly bear at least twice, because due to the difficult-to-work-with yarn I kept frogging it until it fit properly.

Learned Something New in January
[ x] I learned something new in January (e.g., a new technique / stitches, etc.) and am therefore a winner. :- )
I developed a new heel technique for socks and made many attempts for it.

Winter Updates /  Cozy-Blanket Evenings
[x ] I wrapped myself in a cozy blanket for crafting or otherwise kept warm, but I had lots of fun doing it.
Details:
I knitted many handmade projects, especially the socks, in the evenings on the sofa, wrapped in a warm cozy blanket.

In January, I bought a skein of alpaca yarn so I’d have enough for a second pair of arm warmers.
I also bought yarn for various planned birthday gifts and sock yarn for myself.

NEW NEW NEW
Sock Queen / Sock King
In January, I knitted 13 mini socks with boomerang heels as gift embellishments and as a voucher.

Hard-Working Little Helper
In January, I made:   1 children’s poncho
     13 mini socks
     11 handkerchief pouches
      1 owl bookmark
      1 pair of arm warmers
Except for the poncho, everything else was a gift.

Winter Updates / Cozy Blanket Evenings
Every crafting evening—which means almost all of them—was an evening with a cozy blanket.
I shared one winter photo.

Best of Leftovers in January

Hi Josefa

I just discovered your prize-giving post.

It turned out wonderfully again—simply fantastic!!!
Thanks to your motivation, you really feel like doing crafts.

It’s nice that a few "new" people joined in this time too. That makes it even more interesting.

I hope you have a lovely Sunday.

Dear Josefa,
thank you so much for the award ceremony—which was, as always, fantastic!
Well, the leftover yarn is my dilemma: I want to use up my leftover yarn, realize it’s not enough, and buy more—and then I’m left with another scrap... A vicious cycle. So the amount of yarn always stays the same!

Wow! Thank you, Josefa, for once again writing such a lovely and motivating awards ceremony. And on a Sunday, too! :)

For that, you've earned some extra hard-work points, which I'm hereby giving to you. You may also award yourself the title "Hardworking Little Helper."

I really always enjoy taking part in the monthly threads. I think quite a few things would have been left lying around for years without the motivation we get here. It's really great and incredibly motivating.

I wish you all a lovely rest of your Sunday!
We'll be seeing each other in the February thread from now on.

Best regards, Monika
