Weekend Projects: Relax Now. You’ve Earned It.

Easter Bunny Hoppel

Oh my, my, my - what could Hoppel have hidden in his backpack?
Hoppel is an adorable Easter decoration or an original gift wrap for small gifts.

For Hoppel, you should already have a little crochet experience.
I used acrylic yarn with a yardage of 199 m / 50 g and a 3 mm crochet hook here - this makes Hoppel about 17 cm tall.
Of course, you can use any yarn of your choice with the matching crochet hook - then the size will change.
You will also need stuffing, 2 safety eyes and yarn of the same thickness in other colors.

Have fun crocheting him!

Easter Decorations: Easter Is Coming Soon.

Do you already know Hans Hoppel, the door-guard bunny? He especially loves Easter, but he also reliably keeps doors from slamming shut during the rest of the year. Hans Hoppel is crocheted first and then felted in the washing machine – you absolutely have to try it! It’s fascinating how the rather soft crocheted piece turns into a wonderful, sturdy little animal in the washing machine. By the way, Hans Hoppel has an inner filling made of bird sand, which is easy to get and adapts well to the shape.

Bunnies

Another one would like to introduce himself: Heiner Hoppel

Heiner Hoppel is ready for Easter. With his striped pants and his cuddly look, you simply have to love him.
Using the specified materials, Heiner Hoppel will be 42 cm tall. I personally recommend cotton yarn for making all of my cuddly toys.
The pattern includes many step-by-step photos that make it easier to follow.

Working with chenille yarn / fringe yarn / novelty yarn

For Hedgehog Ingo, fine, soft chenille yarn was used for the body and equally soft eyelash yarn for the quills, so you can cuddle him without getting pricked. Made with this yarn, Ingo is about 14 cm tall and is therefore suitable both as a handy cuddly toy and as a decorative element, e.g. in an autumn decoration.
You can find the crochet pattern for Ingo here!

Herzibär was made from plush teddy yarn. Because of this, you can’t even tell that he was crocheted. However, to help you see the stitches while crocheting, a pink companion thread is crocheted along with it. With a little practice, working with this yarn becomes no problem at all.
Herzibär is the perfect gift for anyone we want to tell that we love them, because he has heart-shaped eyes, ears, soles, palms and a heart-shaped nose. Is there a sweeter way to express your love?
Click here for the crochet pattern for the sweet Herzibär!

Three different types of yarn were used for Cuddly Bunny Hoppel: chenille yarn for the head, paws and tail, and teddy yarn and cotton for the body. Thanks to the different textures of the yarns, Hoppel is the ideal cuddly toy for little babies, encouraging them to explore him by touch. The body is not stuffed so that the baby can grasp it more easily.

100s: Classics for a successful end to the month

Your baby’s first cuddly toy simply has to be the sweet bunny Hoppel!

He was designed especially for little babies. Hoppel is crocheted using three different types of yarn: chenille yarn, fluffy yarn, and cotton. The different textures of the yarns give the bunny a very special feel that encourages the baby to touch and explore.
The body is not stuffed, so the baby can easily grasp it like a cuddle cloth.
For safety reasons, the eyes are of course embroidered and not sewn on.

Blue Designs: Recreate the Sky and Sea with Exclusive Designs

Blue is traditionally the color for little boys. But girls will also enjoy the cuddly bunny Hoppel (of course, you can also use other colors).

In any case, Hoppel is cuddly-soft, thanks to the velvet yarn used for the head, ears, and paws. The body also becomes cuddly-soft thanks to the light blue fluffy yarn. In between, you work with cotton, so you can always see the stitches clearly.

Hoppel is not difficult to crochet. It is crocheted with single crochet stitches and double crochet.

Download Weekend Projects: Have a Great Weekend Crafting

Hoppel the Cuddly Bunny can be crocheted quickly over a weekend. It’s a pleasant crochet project, even in hot weather, since you only have a small amount of material in your hands at any given time.
Hoppel is crocheted using 3 different yarns with varying textures: For the head, ears, and paws, I use fine chenille yarn, and for the body, cotton yarn and soft plush yarn. This way, the baby always has new textures to explore.
The baby will love Hoppel, especially if he was made by Mom, Grandma, or a favorite aunt!

Handmake spring decorations

Spring is coming, and all the doors are wide open to let in the mild air – now Hans Hoppel is waking up too and looking forward to work. He is a door guardian, after all, reliably bracing himself against any door with his belly filled with bird sand when the spring wind starts playing its tricks.

Hans Hoppel is quick and easy to crochet from feltable wool and then felted in the washing machine. That makes him so sturdy that you can even grab him by the ears to move him around. The pattern is detailed and also suitable for crochet beginners. The fun colorful bobbles are explained step by step and with lots of pictures.

Amigurumi, Animals + Dolls: Make Cheerful Playmates Now

The cuddly bunny Hoppel is especially suitable as a toy for little babies. That’s because the body isn’t stuffed—instead, it’s easy for little hands to grip, just like a comfort blanket. The head and paws are crocheted from heavenly soft chenille yarn. The rest of the body is crocheted using cotton and plush yarn. This makes him very soft and gives him a very special texture that the baby can explore by touch. You can use leftover yarn for Hoppel—that way, he’ll turn out beautifully colorful.

Kiki the squirrel is an especially cute little creature who looks at you with big, shiny, trusting eyes. For the bushy tail, I used a long-haired fringed yarn. But you can also crochet it with acrylic yarn, which is then brushed vigorously with a pet brush to make it nice and fluffy. The rest of the body is made of cotton yarn, which gives the body stability.

People don’t usually like seeing moles in the garden, but Poldi the mole is so adorable that he’s allowed to move into the house. He certainly won’t cause any damage here and wants nothing more than to cuddle and be hugged.  In the picture on the left, you can see him crocheted with fine chenille yarn; on the right, with cotton yarn. Poldi is about 12 cm tall. If you use thicker chenille yarn, he’ll be correspondingly larger.

Craft Animals and Amigurumi: Expand Your Zoo Now.

Cuddly Bunny Hoppel is a super-soft, sweet little bunny worked like a comforter, making it especially suitable as a baby’s first little animal.
Hoppel is crocheted with three different yarns: chenille yarn, cotton, and plush yarn. Since only double crochet stitches are used for the body, working with the plush yarn is no problem, because you can feel the double crochet stitches well and know where to insert your hook. The head, ears, and little paws are crocheted with single crochet stitches and chenille yarn.
The different patterns and materials give the little bunny an interesting texture. The baby is encouraged to examine its cuddly toy more closely and will stay busy with it for a long time.

For Hedgehog Ingo, I also crocheted with different yarns, so he turned out really cuddly soft and adorable. For the body, I again used fine chenille yarn; for the spines, a variegated eyelash yarn. That way the spines definitely won’t poke! With the suggested yarn, Ingo will be about 14 cm tall.

And here comes a whole goose family  marching along. Mama and Papa Goose have dressed up nicely to take their freshly hatched goslings on their first walk. For the whole family, you’ll need about 1 skein of white cotton yarn. Small scraps are enough for the other colors.

Download bestsellers that have already made many people happy

Hoppel, the cuddly bunny that makes babies happy

Hoppel is crocheted with three different kinds of yarn, so it can be made nicely with leftover skeins. For this, you’ll need fine chenille yarn for the head, ears, and paws, as well as cotton yarn and plush yarn for the body. The different yarns and their different textures and feel make the baby curious to explore their cuddly toy again and again by touch. This stimulates their senses and keeps them busy with their little bunny for a long time. The body is not stuffed, so the baby can grasp it easily.

Little lamb, can also be used as a music box

Another cuddly toy for babies, this time a little lamb crocheted from plush yarn. This makes it impossible to tell that the little animal was crocheted. To keep that from becoming a problem when making it yourself, and so you can still see the stitches while crocheting, a carrying thread is crocheted along with it. If you like, you can also build a music box into the little lamb. Then this cuddly toy will become an indispensable sleep aid for your child.

Fluffy kitten

This very realistic kitten is also crocheted with plush yarn. But it also turns out very cute if you use acrylic yarn and then brush it out thoroughly with a pet brush. With the suggested yarn, the kitten will be about 20 cm tall.

Craft phenomenal patterns now

For Easter, a sweet self-crocheted little bunny to cuddle is a wonderful gift and better than any candy! Hoppel the Bunny is especially suitable for small children and babies. He is crocheted from three types of yarn (cotton, plush yarn, and chenille yarn), so he can also be made with leftover yarn. Thanks to the different textures of the yarns, the child has an interesting tactile experience. The body is not stuffed with craft stuffing, so it is easy for little hands to grasp, like a cuddly cloth. And of course the eyes are embroidered.

The plush little lamb music box is also a wonderful gift for small children and babies. The lamb does not necessarily have to be crocheted from plush yarn, but it will be especially cuddly with it. In the pattern you’ll find tips on how to crochet with this yarn without major problems. But if, as a beginner, you don’t feel ready to try this material, you can also use another thick yarn with a similar yardage. Otherwise, the lamb is not difficult, because it is crocheted using only single crochet stitches.
Here is the crochet pattern for the music-box lamb!

And here is another self-crocheted kitten—crocheted with plush yarn on the left and acrylic yarn on the right. It will be about 20 cm tall and looks very realistic and cute. Here, too, the pattern includes tips for crocheting with plush yarn.

Pattern mix and material mix: it won’t get boring

Different patterns are crocheted for this angel, but basically they are just double crochets and chain stitches, single crochets and picots. The angel was made from white cotton yarn (for filet crochet). The hair is made from Catania glamour (= cotton yarn with silver thread), and glitter yarn from Gründl was used for the crown and the silver borders. And yes: the sheet music made from translucent paper is of course another material too ;-))
You can find the crochet pattern for the Christmas angel here!

Lots of different yarns were used when crocheting the Three Wise Men, because they were made from leftover yarn: cotton yarn for the bodies of the people and animals, sock yarn for the clothing, saddle and bridle, glitter yarn for the gifts, eyelash yarn for the horse's mane, scrubby yarn for the borders, embroidery floss for the crown... And then everything was also decorated with rhinestones.
If you want to crochet these nativity figures yourself, there are no limits to your imagination. Just see what you have in your leftover basket, get inspired, and get started!
You can find the crochet pattern for the nativity figures (the Three Wise Men) here!

Hoppel the bunny, a baby's first cuddly toy, was very deliberately crocheted from three different yarns to give the baby a very special tactile experience.
The head, paws, and bobtail are made with single crochet from thin chenille yarn (Katia velvet fine), while the body is made from cotton yarn (Schachenmayr Catania) and teddy yarn (Schachenmayr Lenja Baby soft). It is crocheted with double crochet stitches. This makes it easy to find the stitch placement even in the teddy yarn.
And the inside of the ears is then decorated with fabric as well (velour fabric for the blue bunny, or cotton fabric for the pink bunny).

Mixed-media crafts: these will earn you compliments.

For Hoppel the Cuddly Bunny and Mauzi the Cuddly Kitten, three different types of yarn are used: the head, tail, and paws are crocheted from thin chenille yarn, while cotton yarn and fluffy wool are used for the body. This creates a variety of textures: the velvety chenille yarn and the plush teddy yarn are very cuddly, while the cotton yarn is smoother. This encourages the baby to explore their stuffed animal through touch. The body isn’t stuffed with craft batting. This makes it easy for your little one to grip it like a comfort blanket. And of course, there are no plastic or glass eyes—the face is embroidered instead. This makes Hoppel and Mauzi the perfect first stuffed animals for your baby.

Hoppel

Thanks, Monika. I sewed another Hoppel today—not out of plush, but from a scrap of my loden coat that I took apart years ago. Today, Hoppel also got a little pom-pom tail; yesterday’s didn’t have one

Best regards, Inge

Material mix: craft more variety now

The cute cuddly bunny Hoppel is an ideal baby toy. It’s crocheted using three different types of yarn. The varying textures of the yarns constantly encourage the baby to explore their stuffed animal through touch. Velvety, fine chenille yarn is used for the head and limbs, while the body is made from cotton yarn and teddy yarn. Since the body is crocheted with double crochet stitches, you can still easily see and feel the stitches even when working with teddy yarn.

The cuddly cat Mauzi is made in the same way and with the same types of yarn. Like the cuddly bunny, the face is embroidered, and the body isn’t stuffed so that the baby can grip it easily, just like a comfort blanket.

Make Easter Animals Now: Easter Bunny, Easter Chick, Easter Lamb, and More

Here I’d like to show you a few stuffed animals from my shop that make especially good gifts for Easter, but of course are also suitable all year round.

The sweet little lamb can be made with suitably thick yarn as a music box, into which you can insert your favorite melody. The lamb turns out best with fluffy yarn, as shown in the picture. If you crochet it together with a thin carry-along yarn in the same color, it will be easier for you to see the stitches while crocheting. The lamb is crocheted using only single crochet stitches.
Here is the crochet pattern for the Easter lamb.

The cuddly bunny Hoppel is especially suitable as a first stuffed animal for little babies. It is crocheted from three different types of yarn. The different textures of the yarns encourage the baby again and again to feel and explore their stuffed animal. The body is not stuffed so the child can grasp it easily.
Here is the crochet pattern for the cuddly bunny Hoppel!

Bunny Purzel is also a stuffed animal that you can use to bring children lots of joy. He is also crocheted from fluffy yarn together with a cotton thread. This makes his fur wonderfully cuddly-soft. Purzel wears blue overalls decorated with pink little hearts. The overalls are crocheted firmly onto the body. He also has a small basket of Easter eggs with him.
Here is the crochet pattern for Bunny Purzel!

Small children love finger puppets! Most of the time they can hold them better than the larger hand puppets.
You can place such a cute Easter bunny family in your children’s Easter basket, and they are sure to be delighted to play with them, even long after Easter is over. The little bunnies are quick to crochet. You can use lots of small scraps of leftover yarn for them.

Animal Highlights for August 2020

Cuddly toys that are especially suitable for babies:

New in my shop and already a hit: Kitten Mauzi!
The velvety-soft kitten is a great first cuddly toy for a baby, because the body is not stuffed, so the baby can easily grasp it. The nose, eyes, and whiskers are embroidered, and Mauzi is so cuddly-soft that your baby will surely want to touch it all the time.
Here is the crochet pattern for cuddly kitten Mauzi

The cuddly bunny Hoppel is made in a very similar way to Mauzi: As with Mauzi, the body is made of cotton yarn and teddy yarn, and the head, ears, paws, and tail are made of fine chenille velvet yarn.
Here is the crochet pattern for cuddly bunny Hoppel

Babies love music boxes! Their sound soothes them and helps them fall asleep more easily. When the music box is worked into a soft cuddly toy, it will soon become an indispensable sleep aid. Often it’s enough for the baby to simply hold the little animal in their arms, and they’ll calmly close their eyes.
This little sheep turns out best if you crochet it with teddy yarn. It’s not that difficult at all, because you only need to crochet single crochet stitches. The pattern explains exactly the easiest way to crochet with teddy yarn.

Weekend Projects + Bestsellers

All children love stuffed animals, even when they’re already a little older! Here’s a small selection of cute animals you can crochet in a weekend:
Herzibär
I made Herzibär the logo for my shop. He has “sweetheart” eyes, ears, paws, a “sweetheart” nose, and wears a neckerchief with little hearts on it—so he’s the ideal gift for someone you love very much.

Hase Hoppel
Hase Hoppel is a baby’s first stuffed animal. He is crocheted from three different kinds of yarn, so the baby is stimulated again and again by the different textures to reach for him. The body is not stuffed so the baby can grasp him easily. And of course, the eyes are embroidered for safety reasons!

Elefant Bully
Bully, the elephant at the beach, has already dressed for the occasion to launch his little boat. Since he can’t swim very well yet, he’s put a swim ring around his belly just to be safe.

If you’re looking for more stuffed animals to crochet, take a look in my shop in the Stuffed Animals collection. Click here: https://www.crazypatterns.net/de/users/view_collection/1732/tiere

Material mix: exciting designs to make now

Hoppel the Cuddly Bunny is crocheted using three different types of yarn: the head, paws, and tail are made of fine, velvety chenille yarn, while the body is made of cotton yarn and cuddly wool. Working with the cuddly wool is no problem at all here, since the body is crocheted entirely with double crochet stitches. This way, you can feel exactly where to insert the hook.

The different textures of the three yarns create a very special tactile experience for the baby, so they’ll want to explore their little bunny over and over again. That’s also why the body isn’t stuffed: this way, the baby can grip it easily, just like a cuddle blanket.

Easter 2020: Download the best Easter patterns now.

The following suggestions are intended for babies and small children:

This sweet little lamb will accompany your baby to sleep, because you can insert a small music box with their favorite lullaby into its belly. The lamb can be crocheted from teddy yarn (as shown in the picture) or acrylic yarn. The pattern includes lots of valuable tips for crocheting with teddy yarn.
Here is the crochet pattern for the little sheep.

A baby’s first cuddly toy should be easy to grasp and encourage touching and feeling.

Hoppel the bunny is therefore crocheted from three kinds of yarn: chenille yarn for the head, paws, and little tail, and teddy yarn and cotton for the body. The different textures will make your baby want to explore their little bunny again and again. The body is not stuffed, so it can be easily grasped by a small hand. The eyes are, of course, embroidered. There is a girl version and a boy version.
Here is the crochet pattern for the cuddly bunny Hoppel!

All small children love finger puppets! They can usually hold them better than large hand puppets, so you can put on a little puppet show even with the very youngest. With this funny Easter bunny family, which you can crochet from leftover yarn you already have, you’re sure to have lots of fun!

Newborns, Babies, and Toddlers: The Cutest Patterns

A wonderful gift for newborns is Cuddly Bunny Hoppel, made especially for babies. It is crocheted from 3 different yarn qualities. The different feel of each yarn is a very special tactile experience for the child. The body is intentionally not stuffed so the baby can easily grasp it. Hoppel also works very well as a pacifier buddy, so the pacifier can’t fall out of the crib.
You can find more details about the material and the pattern  here!

Bullseye in August: Get them now.

Hoppel the Cuddly Bunny is your baby’s very first stuffed animal! Crocheted by Mom or Grandma herself, he’s sure to become a special favorite.

Thanks to the yarn used (chenille for the head, ears, and paws; cotton and fuzzy yarn for the body), he’s wonderfully soft. The different yarns and textures invite your baby to explore them with their hands.
To crochet your own, you’ll need about half a ball of each yarn.
Hoppel can also be used as a pacifier bunny: Attach the pacifier to one ear, and your baby will always be able to find it!

Exclusive Animals

Brand new in my shop is Hoppel the Bunny, baby’s first cuddly toy. He’s crocheted using three different types of yarn (chenille, fuzzy yarn, and cotton) so that the baby can feel a variety of textures and materials. The colors are up to you—for example, shades of blue for little boys or shades of pink for little girls. The body isn’t stuffed with toy filling, so the baby can grip him easily.
To crochet Hoppel, you’ll need a little less than half a ball of each yarn.

Felting: The Best Patterns (Regular Promotional Thread)

The HANS HOPPEL doorstop is first crocheted from thick felting wool and then felted in the washing machine. Inside his belly is a freezer bag filled with bird sand—so he’s heavy enough to stand up to any draft. He’s easy to pick up by his long ears and move to another spot. HANS HOPPEL is really easy to crochet—basically, he consists only of single crochet stitches, and of course there’s a step-by-step pattern for the great colorful bobbles. Since it doesn’t matter how much the bunny shrinks in the wash, he’s a great project for getting a feel for the felting process.

Hans Hoppel takes his job very seriously – a plastic bag filled with bird sand in his belly makes him a real heavyweight that bravely stands up to even the strongest draft.
He is very easy to crochet and then goes into the washing machine for felting, which makes him very sturdy.

Top 3 Authors // March Edition 2025

Currently, the following patterns are especially popular with me:

  1. Cuddly Bunny Hoppel
The little bunny is especially suitable as a baby’s first cuddly toy. It can be crocheted from leftover yarn. I used 3 different yarns for it: fine chenille yarn, cotton, and plush yarn.

2. Dishcloths Alphabet
The dishcloths are knitted with knit and purl stitches. You’ll find the pattern for all the letters of the alphabet.

3. Reading Bone Pillow
The reading bone is a specially shaped pillow that lets you read comfortably in any position. It’s very suitable for using up leftover yarn.

And what about the generally popular patterns? Nothing has changed in the original order since last time:

1. Colorful Bunnies
The bunnies are naturally especially popular in spring before Easter and are a great little project for using up leftover yarn. They can hang on an Easter bouquet, serve as gift tags, or sit as an extra surprise in an Easter basket.

2. Vegetables for the Children’s Play Store
With these 9 types of vegetables, the play store is well stocked: carrots, kohlrabi, tomatoes, bell peppers, corn, zucchini, eggplant, leeks, and cauliflower. Here, too, you can make very good use of small amounts of leftover yarn.

3. Baby Kitten
The little kitten can be crocheted with plush yarn as shown in the picture. But if you don’t quite dare to try that, you can also use any other yarn.

Crafting with a Mix of Patterns, Materials, and Colors: Highlight Projects That Will Bring You Compliments

When crocheting cuddly toys, you can always combine different yarns and give the little animals a very special charm. This is also a great way to use up leftover balls of yarn you’ve already started.

For the cuddly bunny Hoppel, I crocheted with three different yarns: chenille yarn, cotton yarn, and plush yarn. There are no problems crocheting with the plush yarn here, because it is always used alternately with the cotton yarn. In addition, double crochets are worked here, so you can easily feel where to insert your hook.
The bunny’s body is not stuffed, so small babies can grasp it well, just like a comforter cloth.

For Hedgehog Ingo I also crocheted with chenille yarn so that he turns out really nice and soft and cuddly. And to keep the spines from prickling, I used a soft eyelash yarn for them. Ingo will be about 14 cm tall with the suggested yarn.

I also used two different yarns for Warm Bear Kuschel: plush yarn for the head and limbs, cotton for the body. Kuschel is a pillow cover for a grain pillow that you heat in the microwave. That’s why heat-resistant cotton is best for the body. And so that Kuschel is otherwise soft and cuddly, just as his name suggests, the remaining body parts are crocheted with plush yarn.

Loveys, security blankets, and crinkle blankets: start crafting now

Cuddly blankets are the ideal toy for little babies. When designed as animals, they become a child's first cuddly toy (and usually one that is loved for a very long time). It becomes especially interesting for the child when different materials are used to make them. This gives the toy a special feel that encourages the baby to spend a long time playing with it.
In my shop there are three different animals crocheted in this way: bunny, cat and mouse. For the head, paws and tail, I used thin chenille yarn, and for the body, cotton and plush yarn.

I’m introducing the bunny and the cat to you here:

Cuddly Bunny Hoppel
can be made as a boy bunny or a girl bunny (with embroidered eyelashes – see picture). For the inner ears, I sewed a color-coordinated fabric onto the crocheted ears.

For Cuddly Cat Mauzi, the eyes, little nose and whiskers are also embroidered, and the inner ears are sewn with fabric.

Pattern mix, material mix, and color mix: guaranteed not to be monotonous

To recreate this beach chair, you’ll need a cardboard box (preferably with a square base), cotton yarn, a 2.0 mm crochet hook, hot glue, scissors, and some foam rubber or craft batting. The basket is crocheted using the moss stitch (single crochet and chain stitches), and the inner section is worked in single crochet. You can make the basket any size you like; it just depends on the size of your box. A small one can be used as a decoration in a nautical door wreath, while a large one can even hold little dolls.

For the mermaid Marina, I used acrylic yarn from Rico (Baby Glitz and Baby Classic) as well as mohair yarn for the hair. Marina’s upper body is crocheted with single crochet stitches, and her fishtail is crocheted with a bobble stitch pattern. The mermaid measures about 40 cm when stretched out.

I made the cuddly bunny Hoppel using three different types of yarn: the head, paws, and tail are made of chenille yarn, while the rest of the body is made of plush yarn and cotton. This creates a very special texture that encourages babies in particular to explore the stuffed animal through touch. This stimulates the imagination and keeps the child occupied for a while.

Make amigurumi: cute animals for spring and Easter

For the sweet little Easter lamb, one 50 g skein of thick yarn is enough. I crocheted it with plush yarn, which makes it wonderfully cuddly. You can add a music box, and then the little sheep becomes an indispensable sleep aid for your baby. If you use thinner yarn, the little lamb will be much smaller, and you can place it in the Easter basket as a small extra gift.
Click here for the crochet pattern for the music-box sheep!

Bunnies are always in high demand at Easter. How about a self-crocheted cuddly bunny for your baby? Since it is crocheted from three kinds of yarn (chenille, plush wool, and cotton yarn), you can make very good use of leftovers from skeins you’ve already started. The different materials give the little bunny a very special feel that encourages your baby to explore their cuddly toy by touch.
Download the crochet pattern for Hoppel the Bunny here!

A black cat brings bad luck? This one definitely doesn’t! With her mysterious green eyes, she looks at you attentively. She is crocheted from a graphic counted chart using single crochet stitches. 60 g of black cotton yarn is enough to make this wonderful cat.

Color Mix, Pattern Mix + Material Mix: More Variety in Handcrafting

The Cuddly Bunny Hoppel for babies is absolutely perfect for using up leftover bits of different yarns. This material mix is intentional, because the different textures of the various yarns encourage the child to spend a long time with their toy and explore it closely by touch. I used thin chenille yarn for the head, ears, paws, and tail, which is velvety soft. The rest of the body was crocheted with plush yarn and cotton yarn. I sewed fabric onto the inside of the ears. You can also work with different textures here. The eyes and nose are, of course, embroidered on, which is safest for babies.

The Cuddly Cat Mauzi was made in the same way. Here, too, we have the material mix of chenille, cotton yarn, plush yarn, and fabric, as well as an embroidered face.

These cuddle cloths are very popular with babies (and parents) and make a wonderful personal gift for a birth.
