Knitting pattern for a wrap cardigan with matching hat

The arrival of a baby is a very special gift. I knitted this sweet set for my grandson from soft, warm, and breathable merino wool. What makes it special, besides the yarn, is the decorative cable braid.

The wrap cardigan and hat fit a newborn and grow along for a few months. The width can be adjusted with the little tie. The sleeves are folded up at first and can be unfolded later. The hat automatically adapts to the baby’s head circumference because the pattern is stretchy sideways. The ribbon with the bow can be moved
further up if needed. This way, the baby can wear the hat for
a few months too.

You’ll find more information by clicking on the heading.

I hope you enjoy this project - Yours, Ina

PS. Of course, you can also knit it for girls ;-)

Timeless Baby Blanket Made from Merino Wool

Only the best for baby! Little ones can’t regulate their temperature on their own yet and need cozy warmth from the outside. That’s why baby blankets made from merino wool (100% virgin wool) are the best choice here.

Merino wool keeps little ones wonderfully warm, helps regulate temperature, and is breathable. It is very
soft and caresses baby’s delicate skin. And parents will be happy that it can be washed
easily in the washing machine at 30 degrees.

The solid-color blanket—mine is in warm white or blue—is also easy for knitting beginners to knit. The pattern is uncomplicated, and you’ll make quick progress. My white blanket is approx. 90 x 90 cm, the smaller blue one 60 x 60 cm. The blanket can also easily be knitted in other sizes.

You’ll find more information by clicking on the heading. I hope you enjoy this project.

Warm regards from Ina

Fluffy Baby Blanket

Can you see in the photo above how fluffy this baby blanket is? It’s really, really soft—so much so that you’ll want to keep running your fingers over it even while you’re knitting.

A handmade baby blanket is a wonderful gift for a new arrival. This one is especially fluffy and easy to recreate, even for
beginners in knitting and crochet. My two knitted sample blankets measure 70 x 70 cm (+ crocheted border) and 90 x 90 cm (+
crocheted border). Other sizes are possible; the crocheted borders work
with all sizes. It’s also perfect for baby photos—it doesn’t get much fluffier than this.

You can find more information by clicking on the title. I hope you enjoy this project - Ina

Cuddly blanket for sweet dreams
together with the little mouse family

-- to the pattern --

By the way: The blanket is not only suitable for little girls , but also for little boys: Simply sew the little bow on Baby Mouse as a bow tie, like Papa Mouse’s - done :-)

The baby blanket is an enchanting gift for every new arrival and will make children’s eyes light up. The little mouse family with Papa Mouse, Mama Mouse and Baby Mouse brings a
smile to everyone’s face.

The pattern explains step by step how you can crochet this little blanket yourself - even as a beginner - only basic crochet skills are needed. And for advanced crocheters, there are crochet charts for everything (blanket and all appliqués).

The blanket shown was crocheted from about 500 g of 4-ply gradient yarn and measures 95 cm x 95 cm.

Giraffe Gina
for grabbing and rattling

-- to the pattern --

Little Gina is a wonderful gift for the very youngest to celebrate a birth, and it’s also a small, quick project — even for beginners, since only basic crochet knowledge is needed.
As always, the pattern is richly illustrated and describes step by step how you can crochet the giraffe yourself.

The Ginas shown were crocheted from approx. 40 g of cotton yarn (e.g. Gründl Cotton Fun, yardage 115 m/50 g) and are approx. 19 cm tall including ears/horns.

A detailed description guides you through the knitting process.
The trim is explained step by step .

This pattern is designed for size 116–122 .
However, the included schematic and gauge make it easy to knit any size!

Crochet pattern for a bonnet

This tie-on bonnet is pretty for newborns.

The crochet pattern is written step by step for Schachenmayr "Regia 4-ply" or "My first Regia" yarn (yardage 210 m / 50 g). With this yarn and a size 3 crochet hook, you’ll get a hat with a head circumference of 39 cm, and it only uses 35 g of yarn. By crocheting the pattern in a new color each time, you can also make great use of your leftovers.

The pattern includes both a crochet chart, and the pattern and the individual steps up to the finished hat are also explained in writing.

Knitting pattern for baby shoes

No matter what color or yarn you use, these little shoes are always a welcome gift for a birth.

Thanks to the high cuff, this shoe stays on the little foot, no matter how much the baby kicks.

You should be comfortable using a set of double-pointed needles and have worked with a cable needle before; then this pattern will be no problem to make. You’ll be guided step by step to the result.

You can find the pattern here

Who has the cutest little sheep...?
Every baby should have a musical toy! How about crocheting one yourself?
This little sheep is so soft and cuddly that your baby will love it! The gentle melody will lull your baby to sleep and will soon become a regular part of their bedtime routine. You can choose the melody yourself to suit your taste. And best of all: music mechanisms are also available, so you can wash the musical toy!
The little sheep isn’t hard to crochet, since it uses only single crochet stitches. You can use cuddly yarn—like the lamb in the picture—or a thick, fluffy acrylic yarn that’s brushed firmly at the end.
The crochet pattern is available here!

This sleeping hippo is quick and easy to make—and it’ll win over the hearts of the little ones just as fast. You can crochet it as a stuffed animal or a rattle. All you need is one skein of cotton yarn in a color of your choice, a small scrap of black yarn, a crochet hook, some stuffing, and a rattle insert if desired. Some prior crocheting experience is helpful, even though the pattern explains everything step by step. Curious? Click on the image to go to the pattern!

A wonderful gift for newborns is Cuddly Bunny Hoppel, made especially for babies. It is crocheted from 3 different yarn qualities. The different feel of each yarn is a very special tactile experience for the child. The body is intentionally not stuffed so the baby can easily grasp it. Hoppel also works very well as a pacifier buddy, so the pacifier can’t fall out of the crib.
You can find more details about the material and the pattern  here!

You can find the detailed pattern here.

A hand-crocheted pacifier clip makes a lovely gift for a new baby, a baptism, or for your own baby.

The pattern is beginner-friendly and easy to remember. So, it’s best to crochet several right away. It uses very little yarn.

This newborn jacket for summer babies, made of cotton, is a little reminiscent of traditional folk costume style. It has a subtle heart lace pattern along the lower edge. The jacket is knitted, and the button band is crocheted on.

A little knitting experience is helpful, then everything is very easy.
