When the spring sun shines, the first spring flowers start to appear. You can find the Primrose Flower Child with its yellow blossoms at the edge of the woods and in the meadows. The little elf happily hops around the little flower and rejoices in the lovely sunshine.

Spring is coming, and all the doors are wide open to let in the mild air – now Hans Hoppel is waking up too and looking forward to work. He is a door guardian, after all, reliably bracing himself against any door with his belly filled with bird sand when the spring wind starts playing its tricks.

Hans Hoppel is quick and easy to crochet from feltable wool and then felted in the washing machine. That makes him so sturdy that you can even grab him by the ears to move him around. The pattern is detailed and also suitable for crochet beginners. The fun colorful bobbles are explained step by step and with lots of pictures.

Springtime is mole time! And because these cute little diggers so rarely show themselves, why not simply knit one for yourselves! Max is quite the daredevil, and his passion is, of course, digging. He would love to have his very own gigantic excavator, but I had to disappoint him there. As a consolation, he got a stylish yellow sandbox excavator – which suits him much better anyway!

Max the Mole is actually not too difficult to knit, but you should have a little experience with a set of double-pointed needles. All techniques are explained in detail with lots of pictures, so even adventurous beginning knitters can give him a try.

Tulips are part of spring décor ♥

These won’t wilt, always have the colors you want, and are super quick to crochet! They are about 22 cm tall. Use cotton yarn with a yardage of 125 m/50 g and a size 2.5 crochet hook—let your leftover yarn shrink, because for each tulip you’ll need about 10 g of green (stem + leaf ) and 7 g of the color of your choice for the tulip blossom. For each tulip you’ll also need pipe cleaners or wooden skewers and stuffing.

The crochet pattern is very detailed and includes lots of pictures—so it’s very suitable for crochet beginners :- )

And here’s another tulip variation—made from cardstock, so they’re always fresh, always there, and absolutely low-maintenance.



In addition to the cardstock, I also used some construction paper and crepe paper for these tulips. The flowers are about 34 cm tall and are easy to recreate with a little crafting experience.

My spring decor in the garden delights many passersby every year. When there are no colorful fruits yet, colorful hearts still bring a smile to people's faces.

In spring, the first rays of sunshine draw us outside. We quickly set the table outdoors too, but watch out if it’s windy. Then you definitely need tablecloth weights to keep the cloth on the table. Of course, you could buy them. But we crocheters can also crochet some truly original ones ourselves. The inner core of the “table bobbles,” as I affectionately call them, is a stainless-steel nut from the hardware store.
