For Hoppel the Cuddly Bunny and Mauzi the Cuddly Kitten, three different types of yarn are used: the head, tail, and paws are crocheted from thin chenille yarn, while cotton yarn and fluffy wool are used for the body. This creates a variety of textures: the velvety chenille yarn and the plush teddy yarn are very cuddly, while the cotton yarn is smoother. This encourages the baby to explore their stuffed animal through touch. The body isn’t stuffed with craft batting. This makes it easy for your little one to grip it like a comfort blanket. And of course, there are no plastic or glass eyes—the face is embroidered instead. This makes Hoppel and Mauzi the perfect first stuffed animals for your baby.

Leftovers of scrubby yarn, which is actually intended for dish sponges, can be used wonderfully as decoration for doll clothes or toys, because this yarn has a lovely sparkle and is a bit fringy. For example, I used it as trim for the two Angel and Devil hand puppets :

The head and body of the hand puppets are otherwise crocheted with cotton yarn, and I used curly doll hair yarn for the hair.

I usually work with just one material, but sometimes I feel like using more. That’s how this doll bed came about, for example. In the pattern, you’ll learn how to build the bed out of wood, how to spray-paint it in bright colors, and how you can decorate it. It also includes sewing instructions for reversible bedding. So here you’ll be sewing with fabric. The pillows and the rug, on the other hand, are crocheted. So, it has everything. Maybe you have a grandpa who will build the little bed, and a grandma who will sew the bedding, while you do the rest.

I hope you enjoy looking at it and making it yourself.

Warm regards from Ina

The Stola Wisława is a beautiful shawl to snuggle up in. The original was crocheted from cotton and a cotton-viscose-cashmere blend. You can mix different materials however you like. You can get the pattern in my Blickfang-Design store.

There are many occasions when you might want to use lettering as decoration. With this colorful alphabet, you can write any text you like on your windows.

The letters are made of photo cardstock and tracing paper and are approximately 13.6 to 14.5 cm tall. The alphabet is very easy to make and is well-suited even for beginners.

Knitting pattern for baby shoes with slipped stitches. The little shoes are knitted with a set of double-pointed needles, and you can combine different types of yarn very well.

Crochet pattern for a triangular shawl

For this shawl, I combined lots of different leftover yarns. Mohair yarn, merino, blended fiber, angora... In total, I crocheted 400 grams of yarn.

The Swea scarf is knitted with 100 g of Turin (sock yarn) and 25 g of Brushed Lace, making it incredibly lightweight.
The stitch patterns are very simple and explained in detail.
