Snuggle up in comfort: Download the perfect patterns now

You can cozy up comfortably in a colorful good-mood blanket like this. It will keep you nice and warm on long summer evenings in the garden, so you can stay outside for a long time.

The blanket can be knitted from any cozy yarn you like. All pieces are simply knitted on until the ball of yarn is used up. This creates a truly unique one-of-a-kind piece. Along the way, you’ll learn many different patterns almost without noticing, and knitting will never get boring.

A poncho cape like this made from sock yarn is very easy to knit. It is lightweight and easy to take along. In the evening, you simply pull it on, and it keeps your shoulders, back, and neck nicely warm.

To the knitting pattern

This triangular shawl with the pink waves is guaranteed to draw admiration when you wear it. It can also be worn as a poncho. You should have good knitting experience for this one. It’s really fun to knit the lace pattern wave by wave.

Something Colorful Made from Scraps

Wow, Ina, what a lovely idea and a great upcycling project. :) It looks so colorful. I like the playhouse, too.

Old colorful duvet covers would work well for that, too. Have you ever thought about that?

Yarn Swap Package No. 4/2022 is on its way

Oh wow, dear Ina, what a wonderful idea! Thank you so much! I’m also really looking forward to the swap package—it’s always kind of like a surprise box—just like I used to love those mystery bags as a kid. And now there’s even a raffle surprise on top of that.  Exciting!

It won’t be too long before it arrives at my place. I should be third on the list.

I wish you all a wonderful day and lots of joy with whatever you have planned.

Warm regards from Monika

Hi Inselstrick,
the reason the newsletter doesn’t work the way you describe is simply because we authors have to book and pay for the ads. Otherwise, we wouldn’t be included at all.

I do believe that the CP team puts it together themselves.

Best regards, Monika

As for its success, I’ll admit that the first offer with today’s main theme was mine, and I was thrilled by the huge response. I’m actually surprised myself that the cloths are more popular than anything else I usually offer.

The newsletter has a different theme every time, so I’m sure one of the upcoming issues will appeal to you.

Yeah, that’s great, Anja, that you put the idea into action right away. It looks fantastic. And yes, it’s a good idea to leave a hole in there for the straw.

You’ve got a great daily routine. Playing Romé—that’s another great idea. We also enjoy playing games, and we love being able to plan our own day. Retirement certainly has its perks, which we really enjoy.

Hi inselschick,

I have another tip for you that might help you find a selection of patterns you’re interested in.

There are topic-based promotional threads here in the forum where we authors showcase our offerings. Feel free to post which topic you particularly like and that you’re looking for patterns related to it. Then it will definitely be included.

There’s also the search function on the homepage. There, you can enter any topic and will be shown a wide selection.

And if you’re looking for something new—there’s a link for the latest additions. They’re a colorful mix, and you’ll enjoy browsing through them.

I hope you have fun with it.

Best regards again
Monika

Topics in the newsletter

Hi Inselschick,

First of all, I think it’s generally a good thing that you’re voicing your wishes here in the forum. That’s what we authors want from customers, and I’m sure the Crazypatterns team feels the same way. It’s the only way we know where there are problems and where something can be changed.

As a fellow author, I have to agree with Sonja. I only have a few washcloths with motifs in my shop. But they took me just as much work as Sonja’s. I painstakingly designed them myself and test-knitted them first, so many hours of work went into them before they were added to the shop as a pattern.

As an author mainly of doll and children’s clothing, I fulfilled my daughter-in-law’s wish with the washcloths/dishcloths, and I’m also surprised myself by the demand. And of course I’m happy about it. At the moment, they’re simply doing better than the other things I offer. I think there are also many beginners looking for simple motifs for leftover yarn. I’m noticing that especially right now.

As for the newsletter, the subject line is never identical to the complete content. Today, too, I noticed that there was a wide range of choices in the newsletter. The subject line or main topic always only refers to the first row. So my question to you is: Did you look at the entire newsletter today? There was something for babies and also clothing for adults. I even saw amigurumi.

So it would be very advisable not to look only at the newsletter topic, but to go through the full content. It’s always a mix of all sorts of things. There’s definitely something in there for you, too.

Something you may not know is that we authors pay a fee for our spot in the newsletter. For CP to be able to send out a newsletter with a single theme, there would have to be enough authors booking their advertising specifically for that. And that apparently isn’t the case.

Maybe you now understand better why the newsletter is designed this way—with a headline for the first spot, which is more expensive by the way, and a colorful selection of other lovely offers.

Best regards
from Monika

August Projects 2022 + July Projects Part 2: the Crazypatterns Crafting Group

Wow, some beautiful things have been created here again. Since our internet connection has been acting up for a few days and is very unstable, I’ve only been here sporadically. Uploading was practically impossible.

Marlene, your knitted hat looks great with the gradient yarn, and so does the pattern.

Anja, I’d also prefer to knit a soul warmer. As for the pants, I guess that’s a matter of taste.
I’m managing the heat just fine by drinking plenty of fluids. That’s important, too—otherwise you get a headache—even I do.
I’m keeping the blinds on the sunny side half-closed, and I might turn on the fan.

Petra, your sweater looks like a lot of work. And with such warm yarn, too!

I’ve started a project as well—this time, a hat for myself made with alpaca yarn. I’m almost in the same boat as Anja; somehow, I lose my enthusiasm after the first ball of yarn. But I’m going to keep going anyway and see what it turns out to be in the end. Here’s the beginning:

And I have something else to show you—my little covers for the glasses. Now insects like wasps and the like, as well as leaves, don’t stand a chance, and we can relax and enjoy a drink outside in the garden.

I’ve also finally finished another home for squirrels in care. It’s now felted and ready to be sent off.

The next project is almost done, too—I’ll show it to you soon. Plus, the bag for Juna is almost finished as well. I just need to embroider it. For some reason, I’d lost my motivation for that, too. As soon as it’s done, I’ll post a picture.

Swap Package - These Are the Creations That Came from It

Wow, Steffi, I really love that. It’s the kind of pattern I’d love to try myself. Above all, it looks so cozy with that yarn.

I’ve also finished another project from the swap packages—this time using yarn from several different packages.

First, a home for a rescue squirrel—it’s now felted. I knitted in some of the swap yarn from Ina.

And then there are my colorful jar covers, to protect against insects. The colorful yarn is from the first swap package and comes from Andrea.

Cuddly Teddy

You did a great job on that, Inge. I once received a teddy bear just like that as a gift from someone who sewed it herself—only it was brown. I’ve since given it away. It was too stiff for me.

Washcloths or dishcloths are very easy to knit with knit and purl stitches. A cloth like this with a heart pattern is always well received as a gift, too.

Ruth, your fish looks absolutely adorable. I feel the same way as Anja. I don’t like working with sponge yarn.

Anja, that’s a really cool photo of you in that jacket. Aaaawesome!! You can be really proud of yourself for sticking with it.

Petra, those letters are a great idea, and they’re so versatile.

Ines, your tissue cover looks great, too.

I’ve started a new project from scratch and it’s almost done, but another one still needs a bit of work. I’m lacking the motivation right now to keep working on the second one, so I’ve started a third project. When it’s ready, I’ll show it to you.

For now, I hope you all have a wonderful summer day.

Owl *Brunhilde*

What a brilliant idea, Inge. Turning a blouse into a cuddly owl pillow. That’s really great upcycling.
