Are you not only enthusiastic crocheters, but also enjoy doing a little crafting?
Then I have a few truly extraordinary suggestions for you today. Using ordinary packaging materials—the kind you’d probably throw away otherwise—along with some yarn and a crochet hook, you can create some truly magical things:



A forklift like this is something completely different! Here, you can not only crochet but also do a little crafting. But don’t worry—it’s not that hard at all! The base is a small cleaning sponge that you crochet around. For the frame and the forks, you’ll need straws and small craft sticks. The forks can even be raised and lowered. So you can use the forklift to present a little gift to a DIY store fan. How about a gift card to the DIY store, for example? That goes over well with most men!

Recycled materials are also used for Santa Claus with his sleigh and reindeer . The sleigh is actually nothing more than a small plastic fruit bowl, the kind used to sell strawberries, for example. It’s cut into shape and crocheted around with red yarn. The sled runners are craft sticks or popsicle sticks. You can easily use this decoration as an Advent calendar by filling Santa’s sack with a little surprise every day. Since the sled, Santa, reindeer, and sack aren’t permanently attached to each other, you can arrange the figures a little differently each day. That way, you’ll see right away when the Advent calendar has been refilled.

Thinking about the cooler days already—almost impossible in this wonderful summer weather.
