It’s peak season for soccer fans!
Unfortunately, the women’s team didn’t win the European Championship title, but their style of play has won over many new soccer fans. And the next tournament is already coming up in November: the Men’s World Cup. Then in 2023, the Women’s World Cup will take place in Australia and New Zealand. So there’s always something going on!

They’re not hard to crochet, but you’ll need a little time and patience to stitch the individual pieces together. But the effort will surely be rewarded with sparkling eyes, because not everyone has a personalized soccer mascot like this! You can crochet Tooorsten in your country’s colors or in the colors of your favorite soccer club. Then he’ll be perfect for the Bundesliga season, too.

Beautiful designs can be knitted using the double knitting technique - but you should have advanced knitting skills for it. In double knitting, the pattern or motif appears the same on both sides, only in reversed colors and mirrored. Once you get the hang of it, it’s not difficult to knit at all. But beware: it’s addictive ;-)

You can create beautiful images with crochet, too. It’s actually very easy using the tapestry crochet technique. The color not currently needed is crocheted into the work, so there are no distracting floats on the back. Tapestry crochet is easy to learn and is, of course, explained in detail in the patterns.
