Inge, have fun celebrating. A family gathering is such a wonderful thing.

We don’t have any plans. Our son-in-law has tested positive since Tuesday. We spent the previous weekend with him, and I work alongside my daughter in an office. So we’re staying home, just to be safe.

  So, just relaxing in the garden and on the patio, crocheting or knitting.... I can’t decide right now what to crochet next after my pennants.

As for me, I’m finishing up my greenhouse project in the garden after a whole week of digging, pouring concrete, and shoveling.
Starting today, it’s time to put the greenhouse parts together.
I’m really looking forward to seeing the finished result so I can grow some more things.

I have to work this weekend again, but at least I just had two days off.

I’ll be doing some crocheting here and there in between. I’ve also got some unfinished projects sitting in a box.

I also wish everyone here a wonderful summer weekend. I’m working on a new crochet project and will continue with it this weekend.

We had a clogged drain in the house—everything that went down it was bubbling up out of our kitchen sink. The drain is clear again now, the place is cleaned up, and I’ve just had a shower, so I’m not really in the mood for anything this weekend.
But we need to practice walking a little with the walker—my sweetheart’s motivation is zero—so I’ll try my hand at being an entertainer ...
Other than that, I’m continuing to knit the cat blanket for my friend and looking forward to finishing it, because I’m starting to feel like a bit of variety again.

Gabi, I have three daughters, and the middle one is the “sandwich daughter”—simply because she’s sandwiched between her sisters in terms of age. 😁

It all sounds like life in its purest, most vibrant form: there’s a bit of everything—some effort, a few chores, lots of joy, and definitely some crafts. That’s pretty much how my weekend is shaping up, too.

I love these lazy late-summer weekends: just enjoying the summer and doing only what’s absolutely necessary. Finding a nice shady spot, a craft project in my hands, and a slice of fresh plum cake in the afternoon. Just enjoying the here and now. I wish everyone a wonderful weekend!
