You can crochet great toys from leftover yarn. Today I’ll show you a few toys that are guaranteed to be fun and are perfect for packing in your suitcase.

  The board game “Mouse Hunt”
can also be played at the beach or by the lake, since it fits easily into your beach bag. The rules are included in the crochet pattern, but you can also adapt them however you like. The game is played by rolling a colored die. The little kittens want to catch as many mice as possible. After the game, the board can simply be rolled up and stowed away to save space. And of course, you can also use the kittens and mice to play your own imaginative games.

There’s just so much you want to take on vacation! That’s where the
Playhouse Storage Pouch
is perfect for CDs, little cars, building blocks, tiny dolls, and all sorts of odds and ends that “absolutely” have to come along. Even when visiting a friend, you can store all the important little things in the playhouse.
And of course, it can then be used right away as a backdrop for play.

Maybe there’s even room inside for the cute
 Farm Animal
Finger Puppets
? A cow, pig, sheep, horse, and billy goat fit perfectly on little children’s fingers. With them, you can make up great stories and make long car rides more entertaining, for example.

Dishcloths and washcloths are also great for using up leftover yarn. I knitted these ones using 30 g of cotton. They can also be knitted in colorful, multicolored versions. All of these cloths are very easy to knit.

The peace dove would certainly look very pretty knitted in two colors.

With these crocheted dishcloths, you can even use small amounts of leftover yarn for the stripes. You can start with a new color after each row, which really makes the pattern stand out.

Doll shoes require very little yarn if you knit the different sections in different colors, as shown here—the sole, the shoe body, and the cuff.

Wrist warmers are a great way to use up scraps, since they only require 30–50g of yarn.
These reversible wrist warmers can even be worn on both sides.

The Diamond wrist warmers are knitted with a beautiful lace pattern, and here, too, only 50g of yarn is needed in total.
