Knitting pattern "Summerdrinks" - coaster / glass cover - easy

Enjoying a cool drink undisturbed– sounds great, but outdoors in summer this often turns out to be difficult. Various insects like midges or wasps like our fine drinks too much. In order to prevent them landing in my wine, I like to put a coaster as cover on the glass. The designs are appropriate, don’t you think? 😊 Of course you can use them as ordinary coasters, too.

The coasters are very easy to work with only knits and purls.

The pattern explains very detailed and stitch by stitch how you can knit the coasters, so even beginners with basic knitting skills will succeed. And if there should be any questions, I`ll be happy to help!

Required skills:

• basic knitting skills (cast on, cast off, knit and purl)

You will get very detailed directions with written instructions for each row. In addition you will get knitting charts for every design in separate files. You can choose if you go with the written instructions or prefer working with the knitting chart.

When using the suggested yarn (100 % cotton yarn with 125 m / 50 gr), the coasters will be approx. 11,5 cm x 11, 5 cm.

• Approx. 10 gr per coaster, e.g. 100 % cotton 125 m / 50 gr in your desired colour
• 2,5 mm (US 1 or 2) knitting needles
• Tapestry needle, scissors
