Happy August weekend

I hope you have a wonderful weekend. What are your plans?

Dear Josefa, I hope you and all the other readers have a wonderful weekend, too.

We’re meeting up with friends tonight for dinner. I’m baking bread right now, and I’ll be bringing some salads.

The rest of the weekend is up in the air—we’ll see what the weather’s like on the edge of the Swabian Alb.

Tomorrow evening, I’m meeting up with lots of lovely people at the beer garden—I’m really looking forward to it. And someone’s picking me up and taking me home, so I don’t have to drive myself—even better.
Other than that, I’ve got some housework on the agenda. Things have been a bit chaotic lately—lots of stuff breaking down, which meant a lot of cleaning in the unpleasant heat and humidity—so quite a few things got left undone because I just couldn’t take it anymore. I’ll be working through them bit by bit now.

I’m also going to catch up on a few things around the house. The weather has been just too nice, so I’ve been spending more time in the garden. Rain is finally in the forecast for tomorrow, so I’ll finally be able to finish writing a pattern.

Thank you all, and have a wonderful weekend too. I’ll be sitting at my computer digitizing something that I’d like to send to my sister to make her happy, since she’s now a palliative care patient and who knows how much longer she’ll be with us.

Maybe my daughter will have time and feel like spending it with me.

Hi everyone, that all sounds like great plans for a summer weekend. September is just a month away, so we might already be feeling a bit more autumnal by then.

But today is still summer, so let’s enjoy it! We’re invited to a vegetarian barbecue tonight. The weather is perfect for it, but I’ll probably need to bring a light jacket for the evening and long pants to keep the mosquitoes at bay. As a hostess gift, I’m bringing some homemade bread—it’s in the oven right now.

Tomorrow is Sunday, and I’m planning to relax by doing some sewing. I’d like to “craft” two side sunshades out of colorful cotton fabrics for the grandchildren—for the sandbox located under the playhouse. We’ll see if it turns out the way I imagine. In any case, I’m looking forward to working with the colorful fabrics tomorrow.
