I knitted this cute outfit for a teddy bear. But it also fits dolls ranging from 30 to 40 cm in height. Even beginner knitters with basic skills can give this a try. It’s sure to make a teddy bear lover or a doll mom happy.

The special feature for teddy bears: The pants have a hole in the back for the little tail.

It’ll be getting cooler again soon, and dolls need warm clothes too. You can knit this jumpsuit for dolls of various sizes, from 25 to 46 cm. It’s knitted in one piece, starting with the hood, then the raglan top, and finally the legs.

I love knitting clothes with sock yarn, especially children’s clothes. It washes well and, above all, keeps you nice and warm.

My granddaughter received this slipover when she was 6, and now that she’s 8, she still loves it.
It’s quite easy to knit.

I fulfilled a wish with these wash mitts with an exfoliating effect. They are used with enthusiasm. All 3 washcloths you see here in the photo have a different pattern.

You don’t even need one skein for them, so this is an ideal stash-busting project and is very easy to knit.

Yeah, that’s happened to me too. It’s a knitting pattern for a doll. When I read through it, the instructions sounded very complicated to me. Even though I knit myself and write patterns, I unfortunately lost interest in this one. I can’t say whether I’ll ever work on it. At the time, I was simply drawn to buy it because of how cute the finished product looked.

Forty years ago, I sewed a lot for my son and myself. An old sewing machine—the kind I still had to pedal—was actually enough for that. I’d inherited the machine from my mother, and it served me well for many years. Then I got one of those old sewing machines that someone had converted to use an electric foot pedal. It no longer had a table; instead, you needed a table to set it on. It was also very heavy.

Today I also have a family heirloom from one of my husband’s brothers-in-law, but this one can do a lot more—for example, buttonholes, double-stitching, zippers, finishing seams, and yes, it can even embroider and much more. To my delight, it’s not digital; instead, everything can be easily adjusted using various dials. I love that!

Besides the usual straight and zigzag stitches, I haven’t tried anything else yet. I’ll get to that eventually, but right now I don’t have the time or the motivation. In any case, I’m happy to have such a great helper for my sewing projects, and I love it dearly.

I crocheted this kindergarten bag for my first granddaughter when she started kindergarten. She’s in school now, but she still won’t part with her bag. Thanks to the adjustable strap, it actually still fits her very well and is dearly loved.

Now I actually had to crochet one for my second granddaughter. Both of them love taking their bags on outings, because there’s always something they can pick up along the way.

You’ll need some solid crocheting experience to make this bag. It has a double bottom, which makes it very sturdy. I used recycled cotton for it, which is nice and firm.

Yes, exactly—we appreciate the vineyard snails, too. They only eat dead plant matter and the eggs of slugs. For example, they sit on our raspberry plants, but they don’t touch the raspberries.

As far as I know, vineyard snails are a protected species.

Baby leggings are comfortable, cozy and warm, and easy to knit. In my experience, even the thickest diaper fits in them. My granddaughter wore them for a long time, even when she was 2 years old. She got the leggings when she was 3 months old.

I like to use stretch fabrics like cotton jersey when I sew children’s clothes or T-shirts. They don’t need to be ironed, and it’s easier for kids to put the clothes on and take them off. I used to sew only with non-stretch fabric, but now I almost prefer sewing with jersey.

Even the little 20–25 cm teddy bears want to be dressed up nicely. This jacket is very easy and quick to crochet from small scraps of yarn.

This orange cotton sweater fits toddlers starting at size 98. It grows with the child for a while—it can be worn as a little dress at first and later as a sweater. The collar is a pretty eye-catcher. This sweater was a favorite of my two granddaughters.

We always unplug everything when there’s a thunderstorm—the Fritzbox, the PC, and so on. Many years ago, lightning struck a tree at our neighbor’s house, and nothing worked at all on the whole street. Luckily, our insurance covered the damage back then. But we learned our lesson, and the only thing that helps is unplugging everything.

After yesterday’s thunderstorm, the air is really fresh now, the sun is finally shining, and it’s very pleasant out in the garden.

This charming little baby dress can be finished quickly by experienced knitters. It’s perfect for summer, but can also be worn in winter. The lace pattern is a lovely challenge. I recreated it from an old children’s dress.

One project that’s great to crochet in the garden is this bag for toddlers. It fits perfectly on a Puky, tricycle, or balance bike. My two granddaughters loved it, and now a third child is enjoying it too.
