I love knitting clothes with sock yarn, especially children’s clothes. It washes well and, above all, keeps you nice and warm.

My granddaughter received this slipover when she was 6, and now that she’s 8, she still loves it.
It’s quite easy to knit.

Since I don’t like knitting heels, I’ve discovered my passion for spiral socks. They’re knitted from the top down, always nicely in the round. So simple... and above all, they’re also very practical. I knitted guest socks and the socks fit everyone. Also great for kids in rubber boots.

I crocheted this blanket from a soft sock yarn with some angora content. Starting in the middle with the smallest leftover, I turned my different colors into a blanket.

For the pattern, you need to know chain stitches, single crochet and double crochet. The size can be chosen individually.

You can knit great kids’ clothes from sock yarn. Here you’ll see a cardigan with a train motif
for children in sizes 80/86 and 92. It fastens at the front with a zipper (so you can skip the hassle of fiddling with buttons). The appliqué motifs are crocheted.

Leftover sock yarn is perfect for knitting doll clothes. The turtleneck sweater with a matching hat can be worn by both female and male dress-up dolls up to 30 cm tall. The Norwegian pattern emerges naturally from the skein.

And here’s a sideways-knit jacket for dress-up dolls, also knitted from leftover sock yarn. It’s edged with single crochet stitches at the end. The buttons are small beads.

My Fargerik can be knitted well with leftover sock yarn, since the middle pattern is worked continuously, no matter when the color runs out. The final pattern can also be knitted in multiple colors; I had 70g left over here, but it can also be knitted with less yarn.
