One of my favorite patterns is this doll dress, which I’ve knitted in various sizes. It leaves plenty of room for creative ideas and can be made quickly and easily from leftover yarn. Fun is definitely guaranteed—the excitement builds with every single patch.

What are my favorite patterns? Actually, always the ones I’ve just finished—until I get a new idea again. But a few of them stay at the top of my favorites list.

First, there is my very first pattern, which I presented here on Crazy Patterns in 2015. I had crocheted finger puppets for my first grandchild, and my daughter encouraged me to write a pattern for them.
Here it is:
Finger Puppets Hippo, Lion, Little Monkey
My grandson had a lot of fun with them, and I hope that many children will continue to enjoy the jungle animals too.

Otherwise, I love crochet projects that are varied and let me use small bits of leftover yarn.
That’s why the
Year-Round Door Wreath
is also one of my favorite patterns. It shows the course of a year with spring, summer, fall, and winter. I was able to crochet lots of small yarn scraps into it. The wreath hangs on the door of my craft room and is admired by guests again and again.

And I’d like to introduce one more very special pattern for me:
Percy the Peacock
I love peacocks and had always wanted to crochet one. I spent a long time thinking about how to make the tail feathers. Then I discovered an eyelash yarn in the typical peacock colors of blue, green, and brown. I crocheted the peacock eyes individually with cotton yarn and then used the eyelash yarn in the last round. That’s how the feathery structure of the tail was created. Percy now stands on a console table in my living room.

Are you thinking right now: Crafting in this weather? Oh no, it’s soooo warm!

Not if you’re working with cotton yarns and the knitted pieces aren’t so big that they have to lie on your lap and make you even warmer.

That’s why small cotton items are ideal in summer, such as my dishcloths, which you can also use
as a small doily, cuddle cloth, washcloth, cleaning cloth, napkin, etc.
You can also knit the motifs into children’s sweaters or combine several into a baby blanket, a cushion cover or tablecloth / table runner.

You’ll find lots of summery motifs in my motif collection, which now contains well over 100 motifs.

The cloths are easy to knit and require only a little material.
They consist only of knit and purl stitches.
You’ll get a charted pattern incl. short version and a detailed pattern.
You’ll also get various gift bands in case you’d like to give the finished cloths away.

Motif 1 – Soccer
For all soccer fans, you can knit the cloth with the soccer + GOOOAL motif.
In your national colors, in the colors of your favorite club, or to match your decor for the next garden party, barbecue, or public viewing

Motif 2 – a butterfly
A butterfly is always a pretty idea as decoration for your next barbecue party or girls’ night.

Motif 3 – a bicycle
You can use a cloth with a bicycle motif for cleaning your bike, or as a napkin for your next bike ride or picnic.

Mona (Froschoma_Mona) wishes you lots of joy knitting
