If you enjoy decorating with flowers and have some crafting experience, this decoration idea could become your next craft project.

The flower ball shown here is made of photo cardstock and measures approximately 18 cm in diameter. The assembly might look complicated, but it’s really not: Once you start gluing the ball together, each subsequent step falls into place on its own.

The “Tea for 2” placemat set is perfect for a cozy tea time for two. Of course, you’ll definitely want to crochet two of them! But it goes pretty quickly, since you’ll only be crocheting double crochets and chain stitches.
For one set, you’ll need about 55–60 g of cotton yarn (165 m / 50 g – e.g., Catanie fine) plus a small scrap for the border. I used a 2.0 mm crochet hook.

Do you sweeten your tea with honey? Then Hanny the little bee can keep an eye on the honey jar. She’ll even bring the matching honeycomb with her. I crocheted Hanny’s body using plush yarn. To make the stitches easier to see, I used a thin cotton yarn as a guide thread—yellow yarn with the black plush yarn and black yarn with the yellow. This makes it easy to see the stitches, and it’s not noticeable at all.
