Toddlers love comfortable clothes. In winter, they’re perfectly dressed for outdoor play in warm leggings made from sock yarn. Sock yarn is durable, nice and warm, and machine-washable—making it ideal for children’s clothing.

The leggings are easy to knit, and the size described fits children ages 3 and up. They fit my granddaughter until she was 5.

To keep fall colorful for as long as possible, you can decorate your windows with colorful fall leaves.



This version of the fall leaves is easier to cut out because it has fewer details. It’s better suited for crafters who don’t yet have much practice cutting with a craft knife. The leaves are approximately 18 to 26.5 cm in size.



This version is a bit more challenging, but if you’ve already worked with a craft knife, you’ll be able to recreate it with ease. The fall leaves are about 16 to 20 cm in size.

Both leaf designs are made from photo cardstock and tracing paper.

Tip: You can reuse each leaf template multiple times and decorate each one with different autumnal colors—this alone significantly expands your creative options. You can also decorate the basic shapes in a mirror-reversed orientation or enlarge or reduce the templates when copying them.

Fall marks the return of wrist warmers. They’re a must-have for walks. A pair like this, matching your jacket, is quick to knit.

For the Cora model, you’ll need some practice with a cable needle. It’s knitted in the round using a set of double-pointed needles. The pattern is written in detail, round by round. 



Knitted accessories make a lovely gift to put under the Christmas tree. 

Loop LiMaZo is knitted in rounds, and the cable pattern is created using only knit stitches and purl stitches.
