Oh my goodness, that’s so cute. I can already picture this koala as a constant companion for a baby or toddler.

Even small dolls (35–40 cm) need a warm jacket with a matching hat. You can knit it very quickly from a few pieces of leftover yarn—using a raglan sleeve worked from the top. You’re sure to make a doll mom very happy when her little one no longer has to be cold.

Spring will soon be here again, and the little ones will be happily out and about on their vehicles.

Whether it’s a tricycle, Puky, or balance bike, a perfectly fitting bag absolutely belongs on it. After all, a cuddly toy definitely has to come along for the ride.

Inge, your cuddly tortoise is cute, too. I used to have a live one and really enjoyed it. I also used to collect tortoises in all kinds of versions.

Knitting a cable pattern requires some skill, and the result is always impressive—just like this vest for our men. My husband loves his merino wool vest. It’s perfect for almost any occasion and keeps him nice and warm.

Cotton—in this case, even recycled yarn—works very well for knitting washcloths. It’s good for the environment and saves money, too. These wash mitts have an exfoliating effect. I made these to fulfill a friend’s wish, and she’s absolutely thrilled.

Andrea, this is beautifully soft sock yarn with bamboo fiber. The main color is a delicate orange-pink. I liked it right away.

The sock yarn is from Rellana—4-ply Flotte Socke Bamboo Merino Celebration.

I keep getting tempted by Rellana and ordered 10 skeins of it. But I only needed 2 1/2 skeins for the sweater. It goes a long way.

We’ve never celebrated Valentine’s Day either, because for us, every day is celebrated with love. It starts with a leisurely breakfast. That was the case even when we were still working.

As Petra writes, I also think it’s nice, especially if one partner is usually very busy. A day just for the two of you—that’s a gift a couple can give themselves.

And if one partner also has a birthday, like Steffi’s husband, it makes the birthday even more special. But what about the other partner then?

For me, knitting is like therapy—it helps me unwind from everything. I find it easiest to do this by making clothes for dolls and teddy bears. Usually, leftover yarn is all I need, and I can admire the results right away. Not only do my granddaughters love these, but so do my own dolls and teddy bears.

My granddaughter (4 years old) asked for this colorful cardigan made from organic merino wool and has loved it from the very first moment. The cardigan is knitted top-down with raglan shaping and has a collar that keeps the neck nice and warm. The sleeve length and overall length can easily be adjusted to your own preferences.
