Leftover Yarn Projects for Summer

You really only need tiny scraps of cotton for these knitted bracelets. And they look great at the beach or at an ice cream shop.

Here is the pattern.

This rectangular stole is also well suited for beginners. The pattern can be adapted very easily to personal preferences, as a scarf or as a much wider shawl. You should be able to knit knit and purl stitches, and that’s all the skill you need.

You can find the pattern here.

Beginner Projects: Doable and Beautiful

This shawl is intended not only, but especially, for beginners. After all, even as a beginner you eventually want to knit something real, not just potholders all the time.
Basically, you can knit the shawl in any yarn. I always like the pretty sock yarns for this, but it’s not a must. And you can simply keep knitting for as long as you like.

Here is the pattern.

I don’t know about you, but it’s pouring rain here—the perfect weather to immerse yourself in some needlework. How about a delicate crocheted lace shawl, for example?

Take a look here!

Creative and Imaginative / Download Summer Highlights

Summer is the time of year when you like to stay outside until late into the night. Especially in the evening, it’s nice to have something warm around your shoulders. For that, I suggest a crocheted triangular shawl. Crocheted from sock yarn in a lovely lace pattern, it’s the perfect companion for cool summer nights.

You can find the pattern here.

striped, patterned, polka-dotted and checked + waves + stars

A plaid hat is very stylish, I can tell you. And you can knit it yourself.
This pattern is available in 4 different sizes. You’ll need yarn with a yardage of about 114 m per 50 g in two different colors and a set of 4 mm double-pointed needles or a circular needle.

Sweater, cardigan without seams, knitted from the top down

I could imagine something like this working with a circular yoke, where stitches are increased not along the raglan lines but evenly distributed throughout the pattern. Some Norwegian sweaters are made this way. I haven’t found anything like that in the patterns yet, but if you Google “Marius sweater,” you can see what I mean. Of course, this also works without a Norwegian pattern.

New knitting patterns from July and June 28–30

It's nice to see a new face here. Have fun here, Strickwetter, and of course lots of success too!

So, now on to the topic :-)
It's summer at the moment, but as we all know, autumn comes next and winter after that. So it can't hurt to be prepared in good time and knit a hat.

Here you go, here's the pattern.

This pattern is available in children's and adult sizes. Not quite suitable for absolute beginners, but the two-color border isn't the difficult kind either.

Do you have any needles or hooks free? What’s on the ones in use?

Actually, I have quite a few free needles. But those are mainly in the sizes I don’t really like. My favorites are the 3 or 3.5 mm ones, and they’re all in use.

Wool as a filling material?

I’m already familiar with wool as a stuffing material, but mainly for things intended as decorations. Some people also use small scraps that they wouldn’t otherwise know what to do with, or the ends left over from weaving in yarn ends.

A warm infinity scarf always comes in handy in winter, and these are quick to knit from thick, soft wool. This one has a very striking pattern that’s much simpler than it looks.
