The “Wellenbrecher” tunic/dress is an absolute showstopper in summer.

Following this pattern, you can make the top in any size and use any yarn and hook size —the process is explained in detail.

Click here to access the pattern:

Materials needed (example: size 36/38):
  • Approximately 870 m of 4-ply gradient yarn (50% cotton, 50% acrylic) from Woll-Archiv MJ was used here. For each additional size, I recommend allowing about 200 m more yarn.
  • Crochet hooks (here) sizes 3 and 3.5
  • Possibly hat elastic for larger sizes

The stripes in this knitted sweater with a lace pattern form naturally when you use gradient sock yarn, as shown here. In addition, the lace pattern is arranged in vertical stripes. The pattern is very stretchy, so this one sweater covers three sizes. That makes it ideal for flattering the figure.

The pattern is written for sizes 36–40 and 42–46. In addition to the schematic with measurements in centimeters, it also includes the knitting chart for the pattern. However, the pattern is also written out in full in case you don’t like working with knitting charts.

You can download the pattern here: Knitting Pattern Sweater “Blue Lagoon”

This vest with vertical stripes is very easy and quick to knit. You knit with a single color—the stripes are added later.

A vest for every occasion and extremely practical for any season. I knitted it using bouclé cotton. But you can use any other yarn or cotton with a yardage of about 100 m per 50 g—and, of course, other colors as well.

Experienced beginners with basic skills can easily follow along with the pattern to make this vest.

Crochet pattern for a colorful blanket

You can use a wide variety of colors for this blanket. That way, you’ll never get bored, even if you want to make the blanket a bit larger.

It is started in the center, and like a granny square, you add one round at a time.

Here is the pattern with yarn recommendations.

Admittedly, it is a sad thought, but this summer too will come to an end at some point. And so that autumn does not become too grey, there is quite a lot to celebrate, e.g. St. Martin's Day with its colourful lantern parade.

You can make this lantern together with your child – while you take care of cutting the photo cardstock, your child can make all the shapes from tracing paper. Together, you can then glue the paper behind the cut-out areas. The lantern is about 18 x 25 cm in size, making it very handy and comfortable to carry.

How about a checkered hat?
Knitting plaid patterns is usually a bit complicated, since you have to knit with multiple colors in each row for the vertical stripes. Not so with this simple yet striking hat. The vertical stripes are simply added afterward with a crochet hook. The pattern includes a photo tutorial for this technique.

Optionally, you can finish the top of the hat with a knitted button; photo instructions for this are included as well.

5 sizes (head circumference): 46 cm, 51 cm, 54 cm, 58 cm, 61 cm

This timelessly pretty gift bag made of cardstock might be exactly what you’re looking for right now. The bag is roomy, sturdy, and perfect for baby gifts, among other things: If you like a traditional look, use pink or light blue cardstock for it.

The gift bag measures approx. 18 x 30 x 22 cm and is quick and easy to make with a little crafting experience.
