I like single skeins too, Ruth. I love beautiful colors, and something always comes to mind when I see them... eventually.

I don’t even dare to take pictures of it all—it makes me feel a bit queasy... Because there’s really a lot to work through. Even though I haven’t bought anything since last November, it feels like my stash is only melting away slowly. 

July kind of flew by for me. I only finished two projects, and it was just too hot for any big projects. Extreme heat really slows me down.

August, however, is off to a great start, and I have lots of creative ideas that I’m putting into action right away.

I’ve already finished one UFO (leggings for my 3-year-old), and the leggings for the baby are on the needles.

By the way, I ordered a cute doll—50 cm tall with blonde hair. It was love at first sight. When she arrives, I’ll of course knit her some pretty clothes right away. I’m really looking forward to it. It’s Little Sunshine by Zapf.

I feel exactly the same way as Ina. My yarn is already looking forward to being worked up. In any case, I’ll be using up my stash at least until November. I was also very brave and resisted every tempting offer, no matter how lovely. I’m really proud of that.

The weather is great, around 20 degrees—just the way I like it. 

I have more than enough yarn and have decided to stay strong. So no buying yarn or taking advantage of sales. ;-)

You can see a stork’s nest from where you are, Mel? That’s really special! You live in such a beautiful area.

Reading is also my hobby, and I prefer to do it with “real” books. So I always bring one of my books along on vacation.

I always pack a separate backpack for my knitting and crocheting supplies. Last time I only had two projects, and I want to keep it that way in the future—so that at least everything still fits in the backpack.

The trailer for yarn is funny… My many, many balls of yarn at home are just sitting there for now, waiting for better times when I feel like using them up. I could easily open my own yarn shop at the campground with my stash. Somehow I have the feeling they’re not getting any smaller. It’s just like trying to lose weight… ;-)

I’ve stayed strong so far, even though my favorite yarn is on sale right now. I haven’t even looked at all those beautiful colors yet… and I’d rather distract myself by continuing to work on my projects.

Going on vacation without yarn? Oh no! I’d really be missing something then. I just love it too much.

Sandra, you’re lucky that Grandma and Grandpa live nearby. That’s a huge advantage for everyone. When my son was little, I unfortunately didn’t have that pleasure. Back then, I even had another child in daycare to look after. And now, unfortunately, we live too far away.

We had cherry cake today—it was delicious! My husband took care of pitting the cherries by hand. I just ordered a cherry pitter—it makes the job much easier.

I bought a crochet pattern for a dress/skirt/tunic. I’m currently learning a very pretty lace pattern. That alone wouldn’t be much of a feat, but… I’m crocheting the skirt with a very stiff bouclé cotton. After the first 10 rows—I have to say—I’ve already gotten the hang of it.

I’m also learning a lot right now in the field of health. The book *Water and Salt* has given me some valuable insights that I’m now going to put into practice in my life.

You’ve finished some great things—wow! That butterfly turned out amazing! I’m really impressed.

Today I started a new project in the garden for my granddaughter. She wants a very specific bag. I’m already curious to see what the finished piece will look like and whether she’ll like it.

My favorite colors are red, yellow, and orange. But I also really like all the pastel shades.
I still have more than enough yarn, so I won’t be buying any more.

This cute summer outfit fits teddy bears about 40 cm tall. I designed it for my Fynn. He feels totally comfortable in it.

It’s very easy to knit and a great project even for beginners with basic skills.

I’ll join right in. No, I haven’t bought any yarn either. I still have soooo much yarn waiting to be used up. My last yarn purchase was in November 2018. And I plan to keep it that way for a while longer.

Since yesterday, I’ve been busily knitting in the garden. I made myself a cool, shady little spot. My UFO top can come in for a landing tomorrow. And I’ve also got an outfit for a teddy bear on my needles and started a pair of leggings for my granddaughter. 

There’s homemade ice cream from the Thermomix every day, too.

Since I have a dear friend visiting for 10 days, I barely have time to crochet or knit. However, she asked for something, and I’d like to finish crocheting it during this time so she can take it home with her.

It’s the tissue box cover—this time in two colors, beige and light brown, to match her decor. She’d also like some granny squares as coasters.

I took advantage of the April weather and finally finished knitting a long-unfinished project—the little jacket for my doll. Today, I’m consciously taking time for what I enjoy—without any visitors.

We’ve never celebrated Mother’s Day, because I feel the same way as Sofi. My son and the family are all eagerly awaiting their second grandchild. So traveling isn’t an option anyway. 

I hope everyone here who’s been feeling under the weather gets well soon. :)

This newborn jacket for summer babies, made of cotton, is a little reminiscent of traditional folk costume style. It has a subtle heart lace pattern along the lower edge. The jacket is knitted, and the button band is crocheted on.

A little knitting experience is helpful, then everything is very easy.

Petra, that should work too—I haven’t tried it yet. Basically, you can just transfer the stitches from the first row onto a needle... for a cowl, for example, you could then knit the last and first rows together.

Easter was great! Knitting in the garden—what a joy—and in the most beautiful sunshine.

I stitch all the way through. With thinner yarn, I alternate between stitching into the edge of the appliqué and, for example, the edge of the knitted piece. If you sew it on with the same yarn, it won’t be noticeable.

We’re having typical April weather today, but that’s okay. I took advantage of the time to tidy up my yarn basket and my craft shelf. It was really about time.

While doing so, I realized I have a huge amount of yarn. So my “yarn diet” is going to continue for quite a while yet.

To match the doll Schlüttli and sweater, there are now also pants. The pattern includes two versions — one as harem pants and also as regular-cut pants.

The pants fit dolls and teddy bears sized 40–50 cm. They should fit Baby Born perfectly.
