Beginner-suitable / beginner-friendly craft patterns: also great for scraps

now even as a beginner, you can finish delightful projects with scraps. Have fun making the beginner-suitable / beginner-friendly patterns that let you use up your scraps.

Bottle covers for wine or sparkling wine bottles are quite easy to crochet and make a great impression as gift wrapping. You can often use leftover yarn from other projects for these.



For the Snowman Bottle Cover you’ll need about 100 g of white yarn. The scarf, hat, nose, and buttons can be made using leftover yarn. The scarf is crocheted in rows, while the other parts are worked in spiral rounds. Even beginners can manage this.




This design is especially popular as gift wrapping around New Year’s: The Lucky Pig Bottle Cover is also perfect for beginners. Round by round, the instructions explain where to increase and decrease stitches. Googly eyes are glued on, which is great for anyone who’s hesitant to try embroidering faces.




You can also crochet the bottle gnomes for small liquor bottles. Here, too, the crocheting is very simple. The beard is crocheted from a scrap of plush yarn. If you’re a beginner who struggles with this yarn, you can either cut the beard out of faux fur or crochet it with acrylic yarn and then brush it vigorously with a pet brush. That will make it nice and fluffy.

For beginners, dishcloths with motifs are an ideal project.
They look much harder than they are to knit, because you knit only knit and purl stitches.
I have written out the stitch sequence for you row by row and stitch by stitch.
Each of my patterns also includes a chart.
